Talking of scars reminded me - Do you have a birth mark? Do you cover it up? Do you like it?

I have a small dime sized one on my neck. It has lightened as I aged so it is not that noticeable any more. I always thought it was kind of cool.

4 out of us 6 kids (my siblings and I) have a mole/freckle about an inch from our belly buttons.

I thought I didn't, but then I remembered I have a tiny one on the palm of my hand between my thumb and pointer finger. When I was little, I thought it was a burn from a cigarette (I don't know why), but since it is still there... lol.

I have a strawberry birthmark on the back of my left shoulder. it has lightened dramatically over the years, but my mom told me that it used to be warm to the touch at times, and I have pictures where you can see just how red it really used to be. I'd say it's about the size of a half dollar.

I have a birthmark about 3 inches down from my armpit. It used to be very strawberry and I was embarrassed by it, especially in a bathing suit, but it has mostly faded now. It is like really tender skin though and can get sore when I have a top or my bra rubbing against it.

My daughter had a very light mongolian blue spot from her butt to her back when she was born but it has faded over the years. It is common in my husband's family, though we aren't sure why because none of his descendants come from the countries it is commonly from (Africa, East India and Asia).

My son has a tiny strawberry birthmark on his knee, it is adorable, lol!

Hubby has a tiny heart shaped birthmark/freckle over his heart <3

This may be tmi, but I have a big ole brown circle on my butt. It's the size of a half dollar. There is no hiding it in a swimsuit. I grew up in dance classes, so there was no hiding it there either. 6yr old Jamie has the cutest little spot on the right of his chin & 8yr old Brody had a Mongolian spot on the back of his thigh. That's faded & is more of a tan color now.
A while back, Brody & I noticed we had aligning spots when we held hands. I scrapped about it.

My daughter had the Mongolian ones too, but since she is 14 I have not seen them in a very long time. I think they have faded.

I just love your hubby's birthmark!!!

this. i was born with one of those strawberry birthmarks ... about the size of a nickel on the back of my neck just below the hairline. my mom said that within my first year the red/strawberry part fell off. ??? IDK. but now there is a slight puckering where the birthmark was but it is skin color so not really noticeable, plus my hair covers it.

I have one... on my elbow.

My son has a few that are white, and don't tan. When he was little, the doctor told me to keep an eye on how many he had and if they got larger, it was a sign he could have a genetic disorder. We watched and a couple more appeared after we visited the doctor, but over time... they stopped and no more appeared. Had me freaked.

Nope, just some very distinctive moles. One at the corner of my right eye, one on my chin and a former one on the 'ring' toe of my right foot. My mother used to say that's how she could identify me if I were lost or ran away. :crazy The one on my toe was removed by the dermatologist so my mother may have wondered - if she were still alive!

I have a birth mark in my right knee...it looks like an ice cream cone with ice cream on it, and my mum always said it was because she had this wish to eat ice cream when she was pregnant with me, but it was winter and my dad couldn't get her any, she touched her knee and that is why I have the thing :giggle

if we talk about scars, I have so many, I can draw a map in my body with them :circles
