Biggest fear?

My fear is waking up to find my mojo has disappeared with three days to go.

I lost my mojo once before and it was gone for 4 years. I couldn't even open PSP. I'm really afraid it will happen again and had to think really hard before deciding if I would do MOC or not.

hmmm I'm embarrassed to say but my biggest fear is the double page spread ... the page itself is ok but just saving it for the gallery does my head in every time!

amandac... how do you even do that? Fit in two pages in one upload I mean...? Just thinking about it makes my head hurt!

For the life of me I can't even remember!! I'm trying not to think about it hahaha

Jill, some of us use Craft Artist Professional by Serif- does all PSE does but easier to use-

Now, I wouldn't call it "fear"- I scrap for memory keeping, therapy emotionally and for FUN, so I would try always not to use the word fear...but I'm kinda worried about not being able to follow the MOC when Sarita has the operation...still, I think I will ... (that's why I wont start the CTs until February)

tried craft artist pro and found it much harder than pse - could not get used to the way ti does layers plus no layer mask ( i must have these - use it for everything)

When you save for web, you still enter a width of 600. It's just not square anymore. Everything is tiny so a lot of people will also upload each side of the page as separate uploads. That's three uploads total.

Basically...
You make your 24 x 12 LO
Canvas size 12 x 12 with the anchor on the left side
Save for web 600x600, name it blahblah-left
undo canvas size
Canvas size 12 x 12 with the anchor on the right side
Save for web 600x600, name it blahblah-right
undo canvas size
Save for web 600x300, name it blahblah-full

I have an actual phobia: Sidonglobophobia. In case you aren't familiar, it's the fear of cotton balls. Opening up a bottle of pain reliever is often a traumatic experience for me.

Last year I was afraid with every challenge (or at least it felt that way) but, as others have said, MOC really helps push you out of your comfort zone and motivate you. Even though I didn't finish last year due to travel/work schedule, when I went back and looked at the layouts I did complete, I felt like a winner.

Why? Because on a daily basis, I could only see that day's challenge and my resulting layout and I only saw the imperfections (especially if I compared my layouts to others). But when I went back and looked over all my layouts as a group, I could see my creativity growing. After that, I wasn't as intimidated by different techniques and I was motivated to try new ones because MOC had pushed me in such a variety of ways and with a variety of styles that no technique/style/look seemed as hard as it had seemed before I tried it. Just trying a technique/style/look gave me the freedom to experiment and "fail" and come back to it again (if I wanted).

So, while I don't love every technique/style out there, I am a little jazzed to try this year's challenges and see what happens. :)

As for other kinds of fears, we could have an intense discussion about creepy geckos (real ones are NOT at all like the Geico model - such false advertising! ;) lol!).

Ooh, thanks so much, Lorry! I'm sure this will come in handy. :)

Honestly I love the challenges that push me away from my comfort zone, I'm not a star scrapper to begin with so maybe that is why? My biggest fear is falling behind - and darned if I'm not already behind! I'll be planting my hiney in my scrapping chair this evening though :-)

One of the main reasons I love to be a CReative Team (CT) for designers (I am just at the LIly Pad now, cause it keeps me busy enough), is the push of the time. That crunch of having to have a page done for release date is like a euphoric high to me...and that is my happy in scrapping. The MOC gives me that "high" all month long. My fear is that when it ends...I go into a mojo slump! lol

I am slightly addicted to TLP - you can blame JustJaimee for that - after buying her storyteller for 2015 I got hooked and decided to do the MOC2015.

My biggest fear is that nobody will like my pages...I typically don't post my pages anywhere since they are printed in books for my kids each year. 2nd fear is that I won't know how to do the challenge....

But alas, I can pretty much scratch those fears off the list....

Yay for Jaimee :)... and your "new" gallery ROCKS. I can't wait to see more and WELCOME TO THE PAD.

Hey Zanthia :) actually, it does have mask layer, you can create it. You may have tried the compact (free) version, which lacks a LOT of the features of the full program-
I had a go to PSE, even on Skype with a colleague from one of my CTs...I ended up crying.....I honestly gave it about 3 or 4 months and became very, very frustrated.
My PSE had a problem with everything...so I gave up and have been using the Craft Artist since 2009, love it. I'm still discovering tons of stuff so I never get bored
I reckon is just a question of taste, but also is a LOT cheaper than PSE for me :)
