Beware the Circle (by Disney,and how it might interact with your EHD)

Just a forewarning - We got a Disney Circle internet parental control device as my kids both got devices for the holidays. (Well, the got our old cellphones. Only one of which still works as a cellphone).

I added all of the devices in the house to the circle, but had the monitoring level on my EHD set as "none" assuming that wouldn't cause any issues. This weekend the EHD was incredibly slow, and the wifi connection kept crashing. As soon as I moved it to "unmanaged" (taking it off circle entirely), my issues were resolved.

I actually love the Circle. It's a rather clever device for setting parental controls over all your connected devices. But I guess EHDs just can't be tamed.

ok silly question but what is the EHD? I've been thinking about getting the circle, mainly to shut off the internet at a certain time each night as I have a teen boy who can log quite a few hours on there if left to his own devices.

Do you have a wireless EHD Julie? I don't, so I'm thinking it wouldn't interact at all.

never a silly question, and one I asked a few years ago.
external hard drive for when you realize you have too many photos, and too many digital scrapping things and you need a place to hide them off your computer...tee hee

I totally read that as which EHD? Because I was trying to figure out how The Circle would interfere with an EHD!
