Being Brave | Pad Patter 11.2.17

extra day to read all the posts here !!!!!
I have to admit spiders I use to deal quiet well with, even snakes in Brazil. Sarita seems to have taken the bravery and is now in charge of getting rid of them, not without much shrieking and shouting in the midst of laughter of the two of us...but she does it!
I have a horrid dislike of cockroaches... is more like a disgusting feeling than fear, but (Thank God!!!) we have never had them in here.... but in Brazil when Andy was traveling and Sarita was a toddler, I had to deal with all kind of insects and small animals....I developed a thick skin and some bravery that I seem to have lost in the 16 years since we have been back!

I'm sooooo not a bug person, especially spiders, but if I'm the only parent at home, I'll battle that fear and finally go attack the bug (spray, shoe, long stick, whatever I can find to kill it without getting too close).

@jenevang I can relate to the stomach bug issues too. I'm actually surprised how well I did last night in fact. DD has an ear infection and between the pain/loss of equilibrium it caused her to lose her dinner - all over me! And then it was a rough night, trying to get her comfortable enough to sleep until we could make it to a doctor this morning. Adulting is particularly hard on little sleep!

@BevG Eww! Yup, I've pulled the wife card before too. Told hubby it was HIS dog when she thought to bring us birds, a rabbit and squirrels to our door. Nope, not cleaning that up!

Bless her (and you). :giggle
