Bedroom Decorating

Hi, I'm trying to figure out what to do with the wall space behind my bed. I have a headboard and a lamp in between so I can hang canvases up safely. So now I'm trying to decide between inspirational words, pics from my trip last fall, or continue or blend into the few Alice in Wonderland pieces I have.
What have you used for decorating your room?

PS Yes I'm ignoring my paper. Actually hubby is playing with new computer and asking questions so I couldn't concentrate anyway.

Oh Carilyne, I so need to do something with my bedroom so I am of zero help. I repainted and that is it, nothing on the walls, no headboard and just a white duvet cover, lol.

My bedroom is blah at the moment (aka... for years). I can never make up my mind on which style to go with. But I've always loved this. I think you can still get this kind of paint that is Ralph Lauren... suede texture. We did it on one wall in my daughter's bedroom, and it turned out yummy.

And as for art/decor, I love antlers and/or odd art, fiber art, and illustration. I want to find a job soon so I can start stocking up on different art for all of my walls, but especially my bedroom.

Thank you girls. It's so hard isn't it Jaye!. Mine hasn't been decorated for too many years to count. Thanks for the links to your pinterest Kimberlee -- love some of the things you have in there (from my quick look). I would have to do my walls. They need it so bad but the landlord isn't budging (although she'll pay for the paint). This gives me a great start!

10 years in our house and we still have the new home"white" on the walls up there. i hung curtains, added a ceiling fan and got a bedroom set but the decorating ended there. sigh. i am in the "need of a bedroom makeover" department too. mine isn't really even in need of a makeover it's simply just not done.

i know want a rich shade of grey in there, so i am in love with your photo kimberlee!

my bedroom is a total mess!!!!!!!!!! LOVE KIm's suede paint !!!!! I could never make my bedroom loook like that though, or if I could , it would last 4 days ...until Sarita messes it LOL
My walls are a muted orange, it was called Cinnamon spice I think, but I love it that is out of the norm.....
I ll try get a decent photo- what about making a collage in a big big frame to hang it on the wall?

I recently did a makeover of our bedroom, I bought a new doona cover, painted furniture and did an art work for over the bed.
