First of all, Happy Easter to those who are celebrating today! And if you are celebrating Passover, Ramadan, or just Sunday, I hope it's the most wonderful time for you as well!
And now to go wildly off that topic, today is Bat Appreciation Day. Seeing that reminded me of a day last summer that we had a bat in our laundry room! I was able to finally to duck and weave over to a window and shut him in there until he flew out, but it was pretty chaotic and quite funny to look back on
. I really kind of enjoy sitting outside and watching them in the evening in the summer, and I do like that they feed on other insects, but I don't really like them that up close and personal.
Do you have bats where you live? Have you ever been up close and personal with them?

I could have just left it there and not bothered animal control officers, and I'll remember that if this happens again. But if I hadn't had them come out, I wouldn't have had the bat education and would have thought it was eaten by a predator instead of flew away once the sun set.
