Anyone watching the NCAA basketball games? I used to follow them more closely than I have these past years. i think it was mainly because we would go to Vegas for my birthday and it’s during the games. I tend to pay attention to football more or maybe because hubby does, lol. I know there were some upsets these past days that ruined peoples brackets. I can’t even remember a time Kentucky has been knocked out so early.
Anyone here following along with the games? If you are who are your top picks for the final four?

Back in the 90's I worked in a small office of 7 people. 5 guys and 2 girls. One guy was a former basketball player and coached a girl's team for a local high school. So yeah, basketball was a topic during March Madness. I've always enjoyed March Madness as well so I found a freebie software that would do the bracket tracking for us. If I remember right, I think I even "won" one year. I had picked an underdog and when they won it busted everyone's bracket but mine. (Also, we did NFL playoff brackets as well....)

These days, I still watch some of the games. I like seeing the bracket buster wins... like Kentucky losing. I like to follow the Big 10 teams throughout the tournament although my #1 is always Ohio State. In the end, I don't usually watch the championship game unless Ohio State or another Big 10 team is in it. I have no idea on a F4 this year. Would love Ohio State but they've had their issues recently. But there are 5 other Big 10 teams still alive. The top 3 in the conference standings are all still in. Big10 Tourney champion was one of the surprise losses on Thursday. So I could see a Big 10 team making the F4. Gonzaga is another one that I could see there.

I don't do brackets. I don't watch the games. But I do cheer for Michigan State (because I'm a Spartan grad). I'll also cheer for Wisconsin as long as they're not playing MSU.

Adding one more - University of Memphis since that's where I got my Master's.

We are definitely a basketball family; my husband played college ball, coached high school bb, and later refereed. He recently (before Covid) coached both of the grandkids basketball teams.
So when Iowa had the dubious honor of being one of the major upsets in the first round of the tournament, he was not pleased. I’m sure he will soldier his way to the end!

We aren't big basketball fans here- hockey season is still just wrapping up both for my 10 yr old son & for our local WHL club (we billet 2 players)- BUT one of our local referring dentists that I work for does a big dental group where we all enter brackets for free & the top 3 staff & top 3 doctors get awesome prizes. So far- I'm WINNING!!! I literally chose to random fill my bracket & then changed to have the zags win it all! Gotta cheer for the hometown team! Gone-ZAG-ah... from SPO-CAN. lol! ;) ;)

I've never been a sports enthusiast until I started watching Alabama football in 2012. I will also watch various teams in the NFL.

I've never been that interested in basketball, at least when I got older. I think it stems from being in the gym as a freshman and having to run laps inside because of rain while another set of classes were playing basketball. I got POINGED on the head with the basketball. Like seriously, that ball is like concrete and it dropped me. :stars

I love to see people getting excited about their teams though! So enjoy!

I went to Butler (before the team got good) and I always get a little Butler pride when they are in it.

I really like college basketball, but there are soooo many games during the regular season, I can't keep up lol. I filled out a couple of brackets, mostly making the same choices with a couple of differences here and there. Kentucky and Baylor losing blew them all to pieces lol. My alma mater, Longwood University, lost in the first round, but it was so fun to see my little college there! Also, I was really impressed with Virginia Tech's run to win the ACC, so I had a little hope for them. I work only about 20 minutes from VT.
I had Gonzaga, Baylor, Kansas, and Villanova in the final four...with Gonzaga taking it all.

A scrapping friend of mine is a big Butler fan. She and her DH go to games all the time since they live in the Indy area. I always root for any team from the MAC (Mid-American Conference) since I'm an alumni of Toledo. They normally don't make it very far but a few teams have surprised some bigger teams over the years.

My FB memory post today was about the 2012 tourney... 4 teams from the state of Ohio made it to the Sweet 16. #6 Cincinnati, #10 Xavier, #2 Ohio State and #13 Ohio U (from the MAC). No state had ever had 4 teams make it that far. Also, those were the only teams in the tourney from Ohio that year. Sadly none of them won but Ohio State did make the F4 after beating #1 seed Syracuse (lost to Kansas who lost to Kentucky in the championship). Ohio U beat Michigan and South Florida before losing to #1 seed North Carolina. And, Ohio State ended up taking out Cincinnati in the Sweet 16. Xavier took out Notre Dame and Lehigh before losing to #3 Baylor.

That's what I love about the tourney. The big guy doesn't always get its way. There were some good games yesterday with the "little guys" putting on a show!

I only watch if my hubby is watching, but this weekend we watched quite a bit. He's a huge U of M fan, so wanted to watch those games and then we watched MSU and Notre Dame too. It is fun to watch these games when it's so much on the line for all of the teams.

We don't watch a lot of basketball but we always love a good competition here so we do brackets for our family and a few friends. I'll sometimes watch the final game of the NCAAs but otherwise, I just keep an eye on my bracket and talk smack to my family members who I am beating. :D I need Gonzaga to win if I have any chance of winning this year.

I have no clue. My hubby has been glued to the TV however. It's about the only time of the year that he's seriously watching sports for that long.

I'm watching @amien1 's second bracket - all the hockey. :rofl

For real, I have one bracket right now, for Battlebots. And I'm not out, but a few of my picks were upset. I actually didn't realize it was March Madness until someone was talking about the bracket upset.

I filled one in once when the place I worked did it. I went purely by mascots. So, can a Devil (Duke) beat a Bulldog (Gonzaga)? It was fun, and I ended up winning. And man, were all the serious players ticked off that I beat them by mascots. :lol
