Does anyone else here watch Jackie and Shadow?

I've been watching them since around 2019 and we keep them up on the screen in our classroom. It seems like they've really gained a major following this year. For the last couple of years, their eggs didn't hatch, but this year they had 3! One of the eaglets didn't make it through a pretty severe snow storm, but they still have 2 that are thriving. In 2022, they had one eaglet named Spirit who fledged. The kids at school really enjoy them.

I also keep an eye on Bella and Scout because they are in WV. They also have 2 eaglets that were just born this past week.

I know there are a few others around the country that have live streams.

Have you ever watched any of them?
Are there any other live streams that you watch?

I watch Jackie & Shadow too! I was so sad they lost one. It's fun to check on them, I have it bookmarked on my laptop and will sometimes pull it up on the TV when I'm doing housework.

I have seen them, but do not watch daily. I love the nature and how technology has given us this glimpse into Nature to see the eaglets hatch and grow..

Nature is wonderful! Jan, that is so cool that you show the Eagle Cam in your classroom.

With my Mom involved in our local Audubon Society (past president and editor of their Newsletter, plus friends with all the Bird artists - Arthur Singer, Roger Tory Peterson, Guy Choleach etc.), she sometimes would go in to the elementary schools and teach in their Science segments about the birds etc. Wonderful and exciting to watch for sure!

(Arthur Singer & Roger Tory Peterson wrote Bird/Field Guides for North America and around the world in addition to Arthur and his son illustrating the Birds and Flowers for the US Postal Stamps in the early 1980's!)

I have seen small clips of them and had heard that they had 3 eggs hatch after not having them hatch the past few years, but I haven't actively watched much else about them. It is so cool that they have a camera right there to watch the whole process!

I don’t watch the shows but back in Iowa, we would come home and find a bald eagle on the deck railing, probably looking for animal life in the farm fields behind our house. I could never get a picture (pre cell phone camera days) because it would fly away if I made any noise.

I have watched with bated breath for about 3 years. Last year was really heartbreaking and then this year was such joy to see three eggs hatch and then sad again for the loss of one of the chicks in that brutal storm. Nature is rough! It's amazing how Jackie and Shadow just keep on keepin' on.

We have an eagle pair - Misty and Bandit - that (amazingly) lives in one of our suburban parks here. They also had three eggs hatch this year and looks like all the eaglets are getting ready to fledge. It's funny that Jackie and Shadow are such celebrity influencers :giggle -- but perhaps better that some others eagles in more populated areas are less well known to keep them a little protected.

I’ve only watched Jackie and Shadow a little bit. I love that they have two eaglets this year!

I don't keep the links because I would become obsessed and want to watch constantly but I do stop and watch when the videocams pop up on FB.
