I don't have any. :giggle

I just wondered how do you like to get bad news? Straight up? Or sugar-coated? Do you like it with a bad news/good news scenario? Or does the bad taint the good?

In those cases, I like the bad news first... and then finish up with the good. But usually, it isn't as good as I thought it was going to be... so then I'm just stuck with bad. LOL. Otherwise, I'm a straight-up kind of person, and I don't like when people keep bad news from me because I'm an emotional person.

What about you?

Never thought about it. Seems like when it's really bad news there isn't any good news.
And why do people do that? Just cuz you are going to show emotion? One of my pet peeves.

Bad news first always! I want it done and over with! Then give me the good news so I have something to hold on too.

Just give me the bad news, straight out with it. No sugar needed here. Yes, I will be emotional. I might even take it very badly... just rip off the band-aid!

I hate when people have something bad to say and they hint and drag their feet and try to pre-justify the bad before I even know what they are talking about. JUST TELL ME! Lol! Then leave me alone so I can figure out how to fix it or look for the silver lining. :giggle

It is what it is. Just hit me with it. If there is anything to be done to salvage - the best get moving right away. Get the facts and deal with them.

This!!

And, don't "vaguebook" and leave me wondering. Say it or don't say it but don't post something super vague ESPECIALLY if it really is nothing. I don't want to have to worry or stress about it.

Straight up bad news.... so I can see if there is anything I can do to fix/help the situation!

Yep, give it to me straight. I don't like the sugar coating or vague stuff, just tell me so I can deal with it and move on from there.

just say it. when it takes tooo long, my brain goes off like an open fishing line on a pole..............zoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom and I have to reel it in.
tell me, and I will "man up" and get moving to either fix, arrange or comfort.

i think i'm mostly a ... "just out with it" kind of person. i tend to be pretty direct most of the time myself so i prefer that over the wishy washy approach.

good question for pad patter!

My sister is the queen of vaguebooking! I hate it with a passion.

Yep, out with it! Whatever it is, I deal with it. I'm a "just the facts ma'am" kind of person.

My degree wasn't in anything artsy at all, it's actually in human resources and we were trained to sandwich the negatives....positive, then negative, then positive. But not me...for me, I just want it out quickly and without commentary. And then let's process through it. :)

straight up for me.
This reminds me of a verse in Psalms that a friend shared with me recently...

He is not afraid of bad news;
his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.
Psalm 127:7

I am a big baby when it comes to bad news but I really need it straight up ... like ripping off a band-aide!

I am another just tell me so we can what we need to do to move on. Even if it is a slow process of moving on.
BUT I do like to the reason. You know like "And how did Mommy's necklace end up in the fish tank?"
