My mom is a huge disaster movie fan. But, she loves and adores some of those movies that are really, really bad! Like,

Volcano: Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche have to help divert a volcano through Los Angeles.
Twister: Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton chase tornados.
Dante's Peak: Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton have to outsmart a volcano.

My son is following in her stead, although he prefers movies with a bigger budget. He adores The Day After Tomorrow: Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal navigate massive weather changes.
San Andreas: Dwyane the Rock Johnson deals with an Earthquake in California
2012: John Cusack and Amanda Peet navigate the Apocalypse.

I just rewatched Ever After and remembered how bad the movie is. But I still love it!
Ever After: Drew Barrymore and Angelica Houston retell Cinderella.

So, how about you? What's your guilty pleasure movie(s)? The ones that you know are bad, but you enjoy the ride every single time! And you rewatch it.

LOL - You say those movies are bad - I love them all! No disaster movie can be bad. Period. LOL

I love the Sharknado movies ... now we're talking BAAAAAAAD movies. But they are funny and amazing.

ME TOO! I love disaster movies no matter how bad. I did got through a phase of watching really low budget monster movies like (making this up but this is basically what they are all like) Mega Croco-constrictor vs. Pirranadon. They amuse me and make for good background ambiance. :lol

I don't know if they would be considered bad but 2 movies that I enjoyed watching more than once were 1970's Airport (Burt Lancaster, Dean Martin, Jacqueline Bisset, George Kennedy and Helen Hayes who was a hoot in that movie) and 1974's Towering Inferno (Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Fred Astaire, Faye Dunaway and Richard Chamberlain). And, how could I forget... 1974's Earthquake (Charlton Heston, George Kennedy, Loren Greene, Victoria Principal, Ava Gardner).

Yeah, disaster movies were very popular in those days. I mean Airport spawned several sequels... Airport '75, Airport 1977, and Airport '79 The Concorde.

hahaha! I love every one of these movies! :giggle

I love them when I'm scrapping. Hence - guilty pleasures!

Yes... and also cause then I don't have to pay too much attention to the movie if I miss anything!

Oh! That reminds me of another one my kid loves - The Meg. Have you seen it? It's sooooo Bad!

Another good bad one! lol! And Jason Statham. AND there is a second The Meg coming out I think, lol! Though I will wait for the tv version most likely. :giggle

Ever After is one of my favorite movies of all time. Why is it so endearing? I have no idea, but I love it and will always!
I also like 50 First Dates, which does not tend to land on the list of best movies of all time. And keeping with the Adam Sandler gig, I also really like Bedtime Stories. I'm sure if I gave it some thought, I could come up with several more bad movies that I think are great!

Totally agree on the disaster movies and on Sharknado!

Hahaha, Courtney dear, I love all those movies of sharks, and this one about the magalodon, it's really interesting even that it's really bad, lol, but I like it too.

I love Ever After too. Why do you consider it a bad move? LOL!
It's considered a bad movie now by the public and reviewers. Overdone story, thin plotlines, and cheesy lines and moments. I think it didn't age well, because it was much more highly rated when it came out.

I don't consider it bad, just a little cheesy in parts. :agree
