i'm almost ready for the boys to go back to school on wednesday. just need to pick up some soccer gear this morning and a nook for the older one. while we are at barnes and noble i'll have the younger one pick out a couple new silent reading books too. other than that bags are packed. i feel like it is a double edges sword - will be great to have the structure back, but wish it didn't come with homework and all the activities! :) how about you? are you already back in school or still getting ready?

you sound very ready for Day 1!!!

not until after labor day for us. still need to do some shopping. and we still have a little vacation to cape cod planned this week through labor day. but i feel the same as you, it's nice to get them back into some structure but not looking forward to the homework. not.at.all. sigh.

We go back after Labour Day as well. My son is entering grade 12 so no before school shopping for us, his backpack was new last year and in really good shape same with his binders. We may need a new calculator but will wait to see what his teacher wants them to get. As for clothes it will still be hot when we return and our school was built in the '20s so no air conditioning :(. School clothes we will shop for in October/November.

With him returning it also means I return as well, lol. I will probably go in Thursday and get my room organized.

jenn i just returned from the cape. i didn't realize you were in the northeast. we had a great week in eastham. it was hard to leave!

Taking my youngest to get new shoes today while my oldest daughter is at XC (cross country) practice. Then just a few items to pick up for her - something about having 7 teachers and they all want different items for the kids' supplies. Ugh. Need to find her a flash drive on a lanyard or something too.

All of my kids go back on the 2nd. Put my 4 younger on their buses then drive my oldest to his school 2.5 hours away to drop him off. Then hightail it back home to get the 3 picked up from elementary school so we can rush over to middle school to pick up oldest DD from XC. Ugh. No rest on the first day.

my kids have been back for 1.5 weeks. we just got back from dropping my oldest off at college. AT COLLEGE!!!! this is insane people!!!
i feel sort of lost without her. my heart is a little bit broken. she was so nervous the first couple days, but once she started meeting kids she is just shining like i knew she would!
