At my work, we book a lot of hotel rooms around the country (and around the world), and one of the hotel chains we use put on a lot of events for their corporate clients. Yesterday they had a handball school for children, and it was so awesome! They sponsor the national team, so there were 6 people from the national team there to train the kids. I took Kaja, and although she had never played before, she had so much fun! They trained for a while, and then they had a match afterwards. All the kids got a national team shirt, a bag and a handball (which they got the players to sign), and they served drinks, hot dogs, waffles and ice cream.

On Saturday there is a national game, and Kaja gets to be one of the kids that come in with the players at the start of the game, and we all got free tickets to go see the game. Kaja wants to start playing handball now - so I guess I need to find a local team!

I am not sure I know what handball is either, but it sounds like you guys had a great time!

That is so cool! Take care of her fingers. I almost broke my fingers twice while playing handball at school. I didn't break, but needed to go to the doctor, use a splint and all this stuff.

I think it's like the opposite of soccer or fussball where the players use their hands. I've seen it on TV and it looks like fun. Good luck finding a local center that has it. It's definitely not something that's popular here but its fun to watch.

Oh how fabulous, what an amazing day for you both! She'll have a fabulous time at the national game too! Looking forward to seeing the layouts :)

Sounds like fun :) What exactly is handball? Is is like baseball without a bat? I would think that would be dangerous though :)...sorry if that's a dumb question but I'm curious!
