Good morning ladies! I came across this article yesterday about this artist who started a sketchbook with her 4 year old. The results were really interesting and I thought her attitude was really inspiring. Thought you all might like!

It also has me thinking about artsy kinds of things I can do with my nieces and nephew. Of course, they all probably draw better than I do!
 
I saw that. The problem is that if I tried it you wouldn't be able to tell what I did vs what the kids did, LOL.
 
Thanks for sharing this! I may try it out with my 5 year old. She struggles with things not looking right and always wants me to finish it. Maybe this will help her explore her own drawing more.
 
Those look SO cool...although I agree with Jen...my kids' parts would probably look better than the parts that I drew LOL
 
Might have to let OH know about this, I am the crafty one but he is the arty one. He can paint and doodle, and Riley likes helping. I think I have a new project for them over Christmas!

These are so cool! I love that by working together it takes both of their art to a completely different place. Amazing!
 
A friend posted this link for me when I complained on Facebook that my daughter "helped" one of my watercolors when I had to take the other daughter to the bathroom real quick. I came back and found a happy face in permanent ink right on my paper. I confess, even after reading this, I did not have my daughter finish the painting for me. I put a sunflower center on top of her smiley. :P I think it would be cool to do, just not when it's sprung on me like that! lol
 
oh I loooove this...I used to be pretty good at drawing, but honestly haven't picked up a pencil and just sat and draw in years!
 
OMG really cool. My nephew LOVES to draw (he's 3 years old and can draw cars in perspective). I'll send the link to my sister-in-law!
