fake. John did fire investigations about 15 years ago, and we've had a fake tree ever since!

i thought i'd miss the smell but i've taken to burning yankee candles during the season and it all works.

one day when i have extra money :lmao we want to buy a pre lit led. ours is pre lit but not led. we only had one year where all the lights worked perfectly. otherwise it's a beautiful tree.

but no its fake, and I really need to put it up!
 
fake, prelit. love it. take it out of the box, put three pieces together, plug it in..done.
 
See, now that's how you're supposed to do pre-lit. I, however, have to be difficult, and add more lights. It does look cool though - it's prelit with white lights, and I add 3 strings of blue.
 
LMAO Cori!! We always get a real one because my hubs works for the BLM and can get a permit to chop one for $5.
 
well normally i put up 2 trees...both fake...but since we're in this apartment this christmas I only have room for 1.
 
Fake :) I love that I can just take a branch off and put the lights on without hurting my fingers. *snort*
 
Mine's like Amy's - fake and pre-lit (all white lights), three pieces with branches that fold down. Love it. My previous tree was fake and not pre-lit, and the branches all went in individually, and I hated that one. Took hours just to get all the branches in and the lights on.
 
Yep, another fake 3 piece prelit here. Although I admit to missing the real ones on occassion...
 
with all the allergies in our house, we've gone to artificial (sounds snobbier than fake) as well, three pieces but not pre-lit. I like to glob on all of the lights! lol

We always get a real one. Preferably we even do the whole go-cut-down-our-own thing too.
 
Ours is real, in fact we just cut it down this morning. Tonight it will be time to decorate and put on all the lights.
 
Our is a pre-lit, white, 3 piece. I've always loved it but after 10 years, the light are not all working.
So... I've FINALLY convinced DH to get a real tree this year!! YAY!
 
Fake trees make me weep... unless they're for accents around the house. Going to get the tree is a big part of the holiday tradition. Whenever we can coordinate it, it's a special day out with a bunch of my family going together to all get our trees. Sometimes, it's just us, but it's just not Christmas without all that's involved in getting the tree and putting it up.
