Are your taxes done?

You know, every year I get nervous when it's tax time. I don't even know why really. We meet with our CPA tomorrow so I guess it'll be a relief that it's finally over! :yesss

So how about the rest of you - did you get yours done Feb 1st or are you waiting until the last minute?
 
DH does ours. We went through and rounded up papers and put in basic numbers a couple of weeks ago just to get everything figured out, but since we owe a decent chunk, he hasn't been in a hurry to actually finish. :giggle
 
Don't want to think about it! I know we'll owe so we kinda wait til the last minute.
 
I did mine at the end of january.. ^__^ it's def the earliest i've ever done my taxes.

Our taxes have been done since late January. We had some to pay back - still was supposed to get a nice refund - but the tax guy told us we only had to pay 1/2 back this year. We've been waiting and waiting for our refund since. We finally got a letter last week saying that the refund was held up because they made changes to the mount to take out the full payment and we should expect the rest last Friday. Friday came with no refund. John went online yesterday and looked up our refund and it now says we aren't getting anything due to some unpaid something... but we have no idea what they could be talking about.
 
We had an adoption this year with a NICE tax credit... but, like last year, they are delayed. It took until September to get our taxes back last year due to the adoption tax credit, hope it's better this year!!
 
Not yet... just last week I faxed everything over to our tax guy. I always stress out until they're done.
 
CPA here. Mine have been done for a month, my kids too. I have finished all but one of the big ones at work too.

Come on, April 15th!!
 
I just got mine finished up this morning. I thought I did it on Thursday, but I most not have pressed the last button on H&R Block. I was really freaking out because I worked in two states last year and it looked like I owed one more than I made in the 2nd state! But I had made an error in the entries and I broke even, which is good!
 
*phew* all done. We owe, but we expected that b/c dh owns his own business. But we owe about 2/3 less than we thought we would so we are thrilled! We usually get ours done the second we have the w2's but just took our time this year. Our CPA told us that almost always, people who will be getting a refund do theirs right away and people who know they'll have to pay wait until the last minute. LOL
 
My dh worked on it again yesterday. I just have to be sure he's not fudging numbers....eeeek. As it stands, we'll have a federal refund (if his numbers were correct) and we'll owe big time on state, since he worked most of the year in a state that had no state taxes. :((
 
Nah. DH is getting his Master's in Accounting, so you can guess who's doing our taxes this year! He's doing them this week. Since we won't get a refund, we haven't been in a rush to get them done early.
 
Ours are mostly done. The accountant is just waiting on a few things from me (of course) to finish up. We always owe, so I think I wait until the last minute because writing the check makes me grumpy.
 
My husband likes me to finish before the new year. Always a relief to have them done!
 
WE did ours the 2nd week in Jan, since Jonathan was deploying he wanted to make sure to get them done.
We got a nice refund this year which was a surprise because I am self employed, but its always nice!!!

Jenna, this is the last year they are doing the adoption credit.. is that right?
 
*hides* I'm a procrastinator I'm not doing them until the very last minute. With owning my own daycare and designing taxes are a huge pita for me.
