Are you new or new-ish? Delurk here!

Welcome, welcome, everyone!!! TLP is THE most awesome place to hang out! I'm so happy there are so many new faces joining us. Love reading about you! Please make yourselves at home! :wubb

So fun! Welcome to all the new (and not-so-new) faces!!! :wave

I'm Kim, and I live in the Dallas, Texas area with my hubby of 23 years, Mark, and our two kids, Matthew (15) and Kaylee (12). I've been digiscrapping in one form or another for about 13 years, designing 9-ish years, and here at the wonderfully frogalicious TLP for the last 2½ short years. Time flies!!! :D

I have a past career as a telecom engineer, but I hung up my hat in 2001. These days when I'm not designing (or occasionally scrapping), I can be usually be found helping my kids with homework or chauffeuring them to various activities, or running errands, or trying to keep the house from descending into complete chaos. My biggest time sucks are playing spider solitaire or doing sudoku/kakuro puzzles or other puzzle type games. Somehow one quick game always seems to turn into 3... or 10... or... :giggle

I have visited here (and shopped) quite a bit but I don't think I've said hello in the forums :)

I am known as 'jaye' throughout digiland and used to be quite active in forums but needed a long break from my computer so I did. I am slowly (trying) to get back in but not as heavily as before (I need to try and have a real life, lol). I stumbled across digiscrapping eight years ago while making backgrounds for friends and myself for Incredimail. I started out as a paper scrapper but sold everything when I was selling my house and moving to a condo in my hometown.

I am from a small, picturesque historical town in Ontario Canada and live with my 16 year old amazing son, plus a quirky cat. I work as a Youth Counsellor in our local high school, which ironically is the same school I graduated from many (many) years ago.....who says you can't go home?

As for hobbies, I love to read and usually have two books on the go at once. My life revolves in 3 seasons........hockey season, baseball and no sports season (this is the shortest) with my son.

Hello everyone! My name is Erin, will turn 35 next week, and am new-ish to the TLP forum. I've been buying products from TLP folks for a long time, but only recently joined the forum.

I live in the Southeastern United States with my hubbie of 3 years and 2 dogs. I've been digi-scrapping since 2009, when I was unemployed and had a ton of time to invest in it. Now I have a time-consuming job and don't get to digi-scrap as much as I would like.

When I found digi-scrapping, I knew I had found my hobby! I pretty much tossed out all other crafts because this is my happy place. It lets me express myself and work with graphics software, which I love (even if I'm not so good at it).

Happy to be here!

Oh my, it is SO wonderful to see all you lovely de-lurkers stopping in and saying Hi! This is such a wonderful place to be and we are excited to share it with you!

I'm Amanda :wave, the token Aussie on the team :giggle - I'm married to a great guy (24 yrs in 1 month eek), mum to 2 teenage DDs, work as a part-time Payroll Officer and in my spare time I a mad keen scrapper and reader! I have been scrapping since Jan 2007 when I fell into it looking for ways to display some photos of our first overseas holiday in a more creative way. I discovered TLP in May 2010 and I lurked around for a few more years on the fringes :peekin , until a friend of mine talked me into playing along with the challenges. :heartslub I fell in love with the site, the warmth of the people here, the wonderful comments and the great designers and I was bitten by the Polly bug! I was thrilled to win a guest spot because of the challenges. I loved seeing the Pollywog under my name so much that at the end of my second guest gig I hid behind the CT forum door :hide and they haven't managed to dislodge me since :whistle. And that is exactly how it happened :giggle

This is a great place and I know you are going to have a wonderful time here with us!!

Hi! I'm Hallie. I was around during the Month of Challenges (and completed it!) but it totally burned me out. I had so much fun, but I didn't scrap more than about 5 pages until sometime in June. I decided I needed to finish up my 2013 album last week and finished the 4 or 5 layouts I needed and it feels so good to be back. I came over to see what was going on at the Lilypad only to find another fun challenge thing going on! Yay! This time I won't worry so much about getting everything done, eh?

Anyway, I'm a SAHM of three (DD is 4.5, DS1 is 3 and DS2 is 18 months) so I'm exhaustingly busy. We live in Ohio on kind of a suburban farm. On just over an acre we have a biggish vegetable garden, some fruit trees and our newest adventure -chickens!

I started digiscrapping in 2012 after much prompting from my mother (a hardcore paper scrapper) who kept suggesting she thought I might like it. I'd been making Shutterfly albums to get my pictures out of the computer but I totally love the "big girl" memory keeping and dig buying supplies. A lot.

I've been a Lilypad customer for awhile, but I'm somewhat newish the last few months participating in the challenges - forums etc. My name is Leda (ledamperry) and I am a Navy wife, married 23 yrs to my HS sweetheart who I met when I was 13. We have four children Taylor (19), Austin (16), Faith (13 - adopted at age 9 in 2010) and Kaylee (9 - adopted at age 18 months in 2007). My husband and I are from MD but have moved over 20 times since we got married...I lost count after 22 or something like that...and we will be moving again next summer...We currently are in Texas. Because we move so much, I'm a stay at home mom and mostly substitute teach here and there at my daughter's elementary school. That works out well with school schedules and activities of 4 kiddos. I've been a paper scrapper since childhood, but converted to digi in 2006 while my husband was deployed for 9 months, and we were waiting to get approval to bring my youngest daughter home from China. I've been an addict ever since. I have been on many CTs at various sites, but took a long hiatus barely scrapping and stepped down from all my CTs to concentrate on family from about 2009-2013 (older child adoption is demanding mentally and physically and I really just couldn't spend quality time on the computer - and after the kids went to bed I was usually exhausted...lol). Things have settled a bit and in the last year, so I've been getting back scrapping and have been loving it. I was looking for a digi-home to get involved and inspired and always seem to come back to TLP. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to be a Guest CT for June/July for Little Butterfly Wings and just recently joined the CT Team of Amy Wolff Designs. Aside from that, I love to read, knit, stamp, craft, sew a little, surf the net, and basically anything involving family.

I was here for Month of Challenges and have made purchases before and after but have not been on the forums regularly. I live in McKinney TX but i am from South Carolina originally. I have 2 sons, ages 11 (almost 12) and 14. My 11 year old has gown like a weed this summer (sniff sniff) and is taller than me now. I've been uncluttering my house (finally) which is taking waaaay longer than I thought it would but I am almost done and will finally will have more free time to scrapbook and spend with my boys. It feels great to get this house done. I have a lot of scrapping to do. I want to go back and scrap a book for each of my boys from birth to the present. I keep telling myself to jot down what we do each day in a journal so I have something to go by when I can finally sit down to work on it but I just don't listen to myself ;)

Woo Hoo for new(ish) folks!! I think it's so awesome so see everyone opening up and saying hello. Getting goosebumps looking at all the locations! Welcome, all. :happydance2

I'm Liana-- very happy to live in Massachusetts with my husband and two small girls.
You may know this already but The Lilypad is one of the most magical and special places in the entire internet. (And I say that in the least Stepford Wives way possible :giggle ) We hope you'll set up camp and stay a while.

that.
most magical & special indeed-

I got emotional reading the stories, and LOVE reading about some of you I know but don't really know if ykwim....
I'm especially delighted to read this:

I guess I'm new-ish {ish}. Hi all, My name is Johanna. I go by grrfluudy on most scrap forums. Or lately, Amura Vomerine (it supposedly means 'frogs teeth'. It makes me giggle.) The 'Pad is my home. There's something about that frog... *sigh* :heartlub

& to see Jaye here with us too....

So, am not new, but just for the marvelous new comers: I'm Brazilian, my parents live in Argentina, they are from Syria, I lived in many places in Spain until I got to the UK almost 25 years ago....so I'm an adopted Londoner :)
Was born paralyzed, didn't walk until aged 5, had 9 operations in my hips until aged 8, but then I had a beautiful, intense life which included traveling the world and 30 years on stage, dancing, singing and acting.

These days I have a few health conditions which mean I'm almost 90% of my time bed bound, completely & totally addicted to scrapping (no looking for a cure though)
I have an 18 years old daughter , she is the center of my life and I'm so proud of her! I started scrapping to give her the record of her dad on her first 5 years of life-

I also talk/type too much so I ll leave it here but ask away if you want to know anything....!

LOVE this place with all my heart :heartlub:beat:heartlub I have received so much love from everyone here, the scrappers, "my" designers and Laura and the pollys have always been so so nice to me and supportive, is such a pleasure to be able to call a place home :)
Anyway, I said I would leave it, so I will - :giggle

I'm sure you ll love every minute here!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm very new! So new that I had to Google the term "De-lurking"! I'm Kendra. I'm a SAHM to 3 kiddos, one boy and 2 girls ages 4, 3 & 2! I have been dabbling in traditional scrapbooking since 2003. I started experimenting with digital scrapbooking in 2010 but had no idea what I was doing! Then, this past April, I found the amazing world of digital scrapbooking blogs! WHOA!! In the last few months I've purchased Photoshop Elements and have been stocking up on digital supplies! SO MUCH FUN!! I am GREEN and know NOTHING but I figure the best way to learn is to dive in head first! I'm excited to be apart of a community that will challenge me and teach me!
