Are blogs still "in"?

I have noticed lately that many of the bloggers I have on my feed blog less and less lately. Are blogs still "in"? I update mine about once a week usually (sometimes a little less frequently) with my newest LO's and some other "everyday life" stuff. Amy - don't mean to call you out, but as I was adding my feeds to my new blackberry I noticed your last post was July 29!!! :td I know I know...you have a snuggly newborn to take care of and a store to run, but I miss it! Ok. Ok. I'll stop pointing fingers! But really I think maybe facebook and twitter have maybe taken over the blog world. I still enjoy reading people's stories and writing my own, so I guess I'll keep it up, but would love to hear everyone else's take on it!
 
I still update mine, and read several. I don't think they are out. I enjoy them. Personally I try to keep FB to just my friends and family, so I don't see it as anything that would replace my blog.
 
mine has been sadly neglected and FB has taken its place.. ugh. i need to get back over there, though.
 
:) I'm just giving you a hard time Amy! I just all of the sudden thought of it when I was putting your blog in my blog feed on my blackberry. I often will read blogs on there when I am waiting for an appt. or sitting in car waiting for preschool to get out and what not! I sometimes neglect mine too, but I do think they are another way for me to advertise my CT Sites without being obnoxious, so that is another reason I do it!
 
I love blogging and I prefer it rather than FB. I read several blogs every day and love the inspiration and life peaks I'm getting from them :)
 
I'm not an FB fan so I hope blogs stay in! I've never even been to twitter yet...a bit slow I know! lol

same here!! All the layouts I do as well get blogged to promote the designers I CT for.
 
Well I always *intend* to keep up with my blog and then I slack or end up on FB. But I'm hanging on to it as I'm determined to someday get caught up. LOL.

This exactly.

I know a lot of blogs that are kept up with very regularly. And I :heartslub reading them. I keep up with mine every few days I'd say. If I start to slack off, people let me know... very funny! It's so strange to me that anyone else in the world cares what is happening in my little ol' life.
 
I'm a huge blog reader! I prefer them to FB and Twitter because I feel like I'm missing something when I only rely on them to see the latest. My feed goes too fast sometimes.
 
Another blog lover here. :beat I haven't tried Twitter. I find Facebook to be a bit overwhelming, and for some reason it just feels more superficial and less personal to me than blogs usually do... sort of like small talk at a crowded party vs. sitting down over a cup of coffee. (Not that I drink coffee. :giggle)
 
I just had to move my blog... I was on VOX and they became part of typepad... so now my blog home is estirbune.typepad.com

I use facebook ALOT, but I am very (or try to be very) guarded of what I post out. I play games on Facebook and have oodles of "friends" that I wouldn't be able to recognize in a line up so I post about causes I really believe in (TWLOHA, NOH8, and Wish Upon a Wedding) and touch on personal but just graze the surface. I do use the chat mode to chat with far away friends... love that feature!

I do seem to negelect my blog from time to time too... lately it seems more often than not, but I still love it.
 
yeah what a PITA Andrea! I felt for you when I got the email! And I only got the email cos I had to sign up to comment on your blog...silly vox.

Thanks Eryn! It does have it's bright side though, I get to redesign things! I made a new banner... now I have to figure out how to have it rotate to another like I had on vox.... :compcoffee
 
um i have a blog and rarely blog. i dont know why i have it. i dont post much or follow anyone
i think i got it cause i needed it to get on a CT team that i have long since left LOL
 
I have one but it's a bit neglected right now. I love reading blogs, I just need more time!
 
New here... sort of. I have a blog. Post to it from time to time - mainly layouts. No topic is off topic at my blog... if I feel like writing about it. I prefer to read blogs to Facebook - however, I have found a bunch of new blogs to follow thanks to "facebook friends" (you know, the ones you add to get further in a particular game, etc. and have no intention of meeting in real life.)

I do post my layouts to Facebook also, so friends and family can see. I've actually converted a few traditional scrappers to the digital way! :)
