Those are great pictures, Courtney! My mother's birthday was on April 1st. We used to have fun with that.

I'm not a big April Fool's joker, but I put my hubby up to a good one today. He has a doctor's appoint (with our family doctor) and I told him to tell the doctor that he needed to get in shape for a run/walk that I wanted him to do with my in October. My husband has major respiratory problems and sees a couple of specialists (which our family doctor has referred him to). He's in NO shape to walk much more than to take our dog down to the end of our street to do her business, and isn't going to get any better. Our doctor is a really funny guy and he'll get such a kick out of it when hubby says "April Fools". I wish I was there to see the look on his face. I don't normally do anything like this, but our doctor is such a character and today IS April Fool's Day after all. :giggle:giggle:giggle

Those were really funny. We don't do much in the way of pranks here, but I will be back to check this thread tomorrow for any further additions.

we cut out the letter E and e's from brown construction paper this morning.
My boys brought
BROWN E's to school for friends and teachers...it is my favorite!
I laugh so hard!
We do it every year, and so I asked Kate Hadfield to include in her kit!

I don't like april fools or to be pranked but there are some good ones out there that people do. Thankfully it's spring break so I'm not teaching today or I'm sure I'd get pranked a ton by the kids. I'll have to try to remember @AnneofAlamo Anne's brown Es for next year.

We got pranked today at work (a few of the pranks in my department - yes their were several! were harmless and silly stuff but there was another prank that looked realistic and was a bit scary). Luckily I wasn't the first in my department like I often am. By the time I arrived on the floor, the prank was well underway and it went sour fast. I work in a hospital, in a non clinical area, but lets just say a code was called because the "Fake" situation looked so real. It got several people's hearts racing and resulted in the prankster getting called in the Director/Vp's office.

Today was a good example of what can happen when things go too far! :nope

I love pranks and jokes, but I am not a fan of April Fool's Day...especially working in a school lol. My kids were good today though, so it wasn't so bad.

My only really good prank was in the late 90's when I frosted 2 styrofoam circles with chocolate frosting and presented the "cake" to my husband. He tried cutting into it and was confused the knife wouldn't go through. :giggle He was disappointed it wasn't real and I was of two minds: it was hilarious, but also kind of sad!

Hubby got me a good one years ago! We were at the old house, still building it, but I had started the garden. We had a rogue cow from next door however who used to get through the fence somehow, despite DH checking the fencing umpteen times!! On this particular April Fool's Day I was getting ready for work, with my dressing gown on, hair in curlers, ironing my uniform, when DH raced into the shed (our temporary dwelling while the house was being built) and breathlessly said, "The cow is in again......... it's in your garden eating all your new plants!!" Well I was out there in a shot, running through the wet grass and slapping through the tree branches, calling out, "Where?? Where is it??!!" I got to my new plants and I am looking around wildly and said again "Where is it??!!" Getting no response I looked back to see DH doubled over in laughter, pointing at something on the ground............ "What??!!!" I said again exasperated ...... he finally managed to wheeze out "You ran right over it!!!!!".................. it was one of our grandson's plastic cow animals!!!!!!!!!!!! which he had positioned, right in the middle of the path!!! He thought that I would have seen it, as I walked up to it, not bowl it over as I frantically ran over it!!! LOL! That was like 20 years ago and we still have a laugh to this day!!!!

MOOOOOO!!!!

Those are all so funny!! We have done the Brown E's thing with the kids before and they thought it was hilarious.

We didn't do any pranks this year, but our local radio station did. The breakfast crew played only the backing tracks of the top hits. Someone realised and called in to ask if the station was working properly because the Sucker (Jonas Brothers) had no words. Jess told him "Things seem to be ok at this end. Did you try turning it off and on again?" So he DID!! Hahaha!! They soon let him in on the April Fools Joke. The best part was that it was their productions manager, AND they had been talking the night before about what April Fools Jokes to play!! Haha!

We got engaged on April Fools day, so there’s that. Hubby always says I’m the biggest April fool, lol

I hate being embarrassed or being around other people who are embarrassed or could be. I feel as badly for them as I do for myself when I'm embarrassed. I have to close my eyes or pause the show when I get to a part where the person is going to be awkward/embarrassed/teased. It's so, so, so uncomfortable for me.

You can imagine how much, then, I loathe April Fool's Day and even the very idea of it.
