April 2017 Look Book - assignments + deadline

@jenn mccabe maybe you can put both papers and elements from the same designer on the 5 image page - with the description for both condensed into one blurb

But the row of nine looks clean too

Oh that's a good idea! So like for Mommyish papers and elements do you mean put:

the two product images side by side, then the split line, then the one condensed blurb?

That would help with the spacing for sure. I like it.

Hmmm so the hi-res thing I was something I hadn't considered. I think this means we would have to get flattened 300 dpi versions of layouts from all of the Polly pages. This may add significantly to our timeline. :(

I started uploading, @jenn mccabe gave me a hand as I couldn't find my way in but as Jenn isn't curating, I just got her initial (awesome) help, and got on, did 4 pages. I have a few questions, but I would like to for some of you to have a look to see if I am doing this right, so I don't end up being more of a problem than help, as I have another 4 or 5 pages I can upload, could you @norton94 @Cristina have a look at what I did?
Are we only highlighting 2 main products per page? or should I find my way to add more products per LO ? I have pages picked that have more than 2 products of my assigned page...
I ll go post my pages for the SOSN in the outside galleries and comeback find out if I am doing this well :)

Since this is an older one (april 17)- maybe we just go with it. But set standards for LOs going forward? Is there a way to disable full screen viewing in Issuu with the plan you are going with? Maybe we could disable it for this one lookbook- and then all new LOs we can ask the Pollys to save us Hi Res and have a place for them when they upload their pages so it is all done in one shot going forward? I bet Jaimee has good tips since she worked with this before. But now that you mention it about the layouts - I do feel like she requested Hi Res for those of us submitting for her mag?

Yes we are only highlighting 2 products is the last I heard but we had contemplated adding more at one point but after finding the templates Laura said only 2 (unless something changed LOL).
The one thing I noticed is where the column that says "Products" you didn't put the product name that the page is covering. For your first two I added those in to show you what I mean. However, my pages lent themselves to just covering one designer (I didn't have so many templates) so I'm not sure if we are trying to do the fewest pages featured or if we want a separate layout for each designer's grouping of associated products. I see you have the assignment of the NY stuff, so maybe having a page with the NY stuff and also the template is ideal? @lmccandless could you help guide us on your mission here with the example of a template product which also uses another designer's kit. Should it count for both? It just worked out for my items that I picked a page for each product or product group that showed it best in use IMO (or helped show a different style than others we selected). For example for the NY stuff I would pick a layout which covered papers, elements, and kit. Just one layout could show for all that and maybe more, but not necessarily. I'd make sure I had one prominently using the stamps to count for that product being covered. kwim? Hope that helps - and hopefully I'm clear too? Now that this came up I'm needing clarification from Laura about her aim on that too...

Also Laura @lmccandless while I have your ear, for the last product on my page 4 - it's C.D.'s Journal Junkie: Bright Heart. You specifically said the alpha on pg 5 was in the wrong place, but the mats on pg 4 didn't seem to get covered by Pollys. I could not find a Polly page with them. The pages I did find were from as far back as 2014, so I suspect they were old and happened to fit the colors and got re-released? Do I need to get a Polly to make a page or is this product like the alpha and just skipped?

no is ok , Krista, @norton94 , I have more pages selected, I just wanted to know if I was doing it right, will look tomorrow morning at what you mean about product name, and finish uploading the ones I have , I just didn't want to upload 10 pages in case I was not doing it right.
I have been feeling nauseous all day, our area is covered in snow, so my mind isn't computing too well right now 23:30, I m going to go round the gallery to the pages from my slow scrap yesterday and send them the coupon after, I ll finish the uploading tomorrow morning first thing .

Here'e the first page... I'm working on the second. It will be a snapshot of each style with the outcome, and some blabbering. Plus the products used. I'm trying to keep it to 2 pages - I feel more than that is too much, and would be better as a future class or something.

I will not finish tonight. I'm sorry. I will have it done tomorrow.

is someone reviewing these for changes or do I upload the psd for review?

Never mind... here's the second page. I'm not sold on this layout, but I was looking for something different. Compact, but enough area for everything.

I want to make that black line on page 2 yellow.

Let me know how to proceed, changes or if I missed anything. I feel like I did. Sorry, I'm a bit discombobulated. (and I like that word for some reason, lol)

Hi all, wondering if I should complete my pages - after changes to my typos/or any suggestions you all might have?

Anyone have a style tip they’d like me to share?

I’ll be able to complete tomorrow evening, I believe. @lmccandless @norton94 I’m not sure who else is reviewing/quality checking, sorry.

I’m only on my phone tonight. Benson had X-rays and has been throwing up. Hoping it’s nothing serious. On meds, smidge of rice and small amounts of water and will talk to vet again tomorrow.

What black line? I know I'm dense this week, but I don't see a black line?

Lol! Between the images and the words on the right side of the 2 page layout. It’s currently black. I’m heading to denseville, after how the week has started! :hummm

@jk703 Velum should read "Vellum" otherwise page 1 looked nice with a brief look over

pg 2 - with your smaller inset showing the style on the cut outs - maybe add "before" and "after" or an arrow to show the progress?
In your blurb it spells "colors" incorrectly in the first part
In the 2nd it spells "all" wrong and "then"

On the right side "Gaussian" needs correction

Hi All....

Here my final pages. Please let me know if there will be any changes that might be needed or if I screwed up. Sorry for the delay. Benson and school issues have me going in circles.

I didn't know where to put them. So, here are links to my smugmug.
Page 1 and Page 2.
