Apple Watch ... who has one?

@KimJ I don’t have the cover bumper thing. My watch is a used one, from my daughter. It is really in pristine shape even though it is years old so the watches must be pretty durable.

This is just like the one I have, only mine's black: from Amazon

Just be sure you order the right size - 40MM or 44MM, etc. whichever you have. The sizes are listed with the cover. I really needed one and I'm very happy with mine. If you want different colors, they have whatever you want.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered my watch today – a Series 6 in silver aluminum with a blue braided solo loop. I'd considered going to the store to get it in person, but in the time it took me to decide, the one I wanted wasn't available anymore at the closest store (which is half an hour away), or the next closest, or the next closest... :lol, so delivery it is! It will be here in 2 weeks. :D

I'm just klutzy enough that I expect I will occasionally whack it on a doorframe or doorknob or something like that, especially since I'm not used to wearing a watch anymore. I've been looking at case/cover/bumper thingies on Amazon. Any recommendations on a particular one you like? I've been reading reviews until my head is swimming. I've tried to rule out ones where too many people say it gets water trapped underneath too easily, or it pops off randomly, or the stem/wheel thingy is too hard to turn with it on, or the sensitivity is bad. I'm currently leaning towards either these or these, but I'm open to other suggestions. :)

I'm living on the edge and not using a cover. :giggle I've had mine for about 2 years now and still don't have any scratches on it. I do take it off if I'm doing anything rough like using power tools or near scratchy stuff like pulling weeds by the driveway, but otherwise in normal use it's been very durable.

I do use the tempered glass screen protectors (like Cheryl posted) on my phone though and they are amazing!

Very exciting that you ordered one Kim! I hope you love it!

Here's a close-up shot of what it looks like - you can't even tell it's on there.

Karen, I wouldn't have a phone without one of those!! I've got a ZAGG and they're guaranteed for the life of however long you have them. Haha I've dropped mine a time of two and have been so happy I had it!

I kept clanking my watch on weird things - I guess I'm clumsier than most people. I wasn't sure I'd like a screen protector on it, but it's been perfect!

Thanks, @Cherylndesigns & @Karen. :) I have a case on my phone that doesn't cover the screen itself, but it has a raised edge and a grippier surface to make it easier to hang onto. Once of my previous phones I had only had for about 2 days and hadn't gotten a case yet when I dropped it in a parking lot. I was very lucky that It didn't damage the screen, but it did take a couple of small chunks out of the corner of the phone body. I was relieved and upset at the same time. :giggle

You were lucky! How exciting that you have an Apple watch on it's way to you!! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!!

Do you ever take the watch case off? (Several reviews said they broke it trying to get it off.) Do you have issues with water getting inside the case? Do you feel the edges of the back of the case on your wrist?

Like Karen said, I'm living on the edge :giggle
I would be interested to see what you end up with and I'm checking out the ones already linked.
I hope you enjoy and love it!!!

I haven't taken it off. It fits SO tightly that nothing gets under it. I do clean the top and use my fingernail to clean around the edges (on the top). I use a soft cloth - one of those microfiber ones. I have never gotten mine wet, so no to water getting inside. I don't think it could, because mine fits so tightly. I have never had any issues with feeling the edges on my wrist. I honestly don't even realize it's on there. You can see, from the picture I posted, that the watch doesn't even look any bigger.

I was leery too, Kim. I didn't believe it would be as sleek and tight as it is.

I'm on my third watch because the screen kept chipping and cracking. I think I'm bumping the edges, because the watch face is too big and I can't help it, but I have a big wrist and had to get the larger one to get a band that would fit around.

Here's the bumper I have and I haven't had any cracked screens since getting it, so it must be working. :) I have a Series 3; I don't know if they have newer ones.

I don't have a screen protector, because that wasn't my issue. There were never any scratches on the face, it would just crack and shatter along the edges.

Thanks for the link! I hadn't considered that style, but I will have a look at those too! :)

Sorry I don’t have a cover and know zero about them. Living on the edge like Jan and Karen. I’ve bumped lightly into things here and there but so far just lightly. Still looks perfect. I got the smaller screen so not sure if that makes it less bulky.

Excited for you Kim!
