I've never thought about submitting a page before. Do you? Who publishes digi pages? I don't buy any scrap mags anymore so don't even have a clue about who this. Does CK? Any others? Don't know if I will ever submit, but....maybe.

I am no help. But I hope someone has a good answer for you. I used to read scrap mags all the time and am wondering if they, like me, have made the digi switch. Would love to pick some up, if so.

CK sure does, Scrapbook Trends also does. There aren't many left...

I do submit! I drive the editor Jana insane every 6 months at Somerset Digital!
I haven't been published yet!! but I am determined! Many friends of mine have been published in it, and I love to go thru and squeal about knowing them, and I love the rich feel of the magazine...I have bought a few, and sit at a coffee shop and read the others! tee hee..
but.....................
if you are published, you get one free!!

Ama - thx for your kind words.
Annie - never heard of Somerset Digital - will check that out.

I used to love to browse thru my scrap mags and see a lot of my friends published but stopped buying mags when I went digi. I'll have to check out a CK or Scrapbook Trends mag for their digi stuff. I didn't even think that ST was pubilshing, goes to show how on top of things I am LOL

ST has gone all digital format and CK recently changed their publishing requirements....

Do you have fresh, never-before-published scrapbook pages, mini-albums, or tips? If so, use the submission tool (link included below) to send us a digital photo, the supplies you used, and a description of techniques used. Items submitted here must be free of any copyrights.
Note: You will be asked to answer Yes or No to this statement when you submit: I understand that as of June 1, 2013, all submissions cannot have been published in print or posted online in any galleries, blogs, or other image sharing capacities (such as Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, etc.)

I've never tried with digital, but my paper pages have been in magazines. :)

I had a couple pages published in the Sommerset magazine about two years ago I think. Total rush to see your stuff in print! :) Go for it!

This is why I haven't submitted a page in a while....

But I used to all the time. I've been published a few times in CK and once in Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine. It's just so time consuming to create "other" pages, so I haven't bothered. Maybe if a subject sparks my interest.

I dream of one day submitting my stuff, but none of the prompts I find ever get me feeling overly creative.

sure.. here ya go - submit here - http://northridgepublishing.com/forms/submit-creation

Scrapbook Trends Magazine is currently looking for layouts with the following themes for our January 2014 issue (please fill out a separate submission form for each project you would like considered):

  • Baby
  • Daily Life
  • New Year
  • Sparkle & Shine
  • How To: Super-Size It! - If regular size is good, then super-size is, well, super! Show us how you super-sized part of your latest layout! A title, a photo, journaling, you name it! If it's super-sized, we want to see it! <<<<- [uh, my Bigger is Better templates would work great here (hint hint)]
Deadline: 11:59pm (Mountain Time) on Thursday August 1st, 2013.

oh and CK's requirements may seem new but they've pretty much always been that way, as have most other mags.... new, never-been-seen layouts.

Thx for all the info. When they say "never published online" does that mean you have to pull it from any galleries once you've been contacted for publication or does it mean that if you submit you must hold back that page in case it might get chosen? That kind of bugs me...I like to share my work with my peers. It wouldn't stop me I guess from submitting something but man...what a bummer if I can't share with my friends. Something to think about...hmmm.
