Anyone else in WA who is SICK AND TIRED of the rain?!

LMAO at the meme. Sometimes I am amazed at how little flooding we have in our area. One of my friends who lives in Louisiana was evacuated last night due to severe flooding, and all I can think is how lucky we are.

I would gladly go back to the gloom and drizzle of Washington. Instead i'm stuck with the monsoons and tornadoes of Mississippi. I haven't been home in almost 5 years and I miss it terribly.
My son has been in MS for a little over a year now and he says all the time how much the rain reminds him of home. Now the humidity is another story. My daughter lived in Southern California for 18 months and missed the rain so much while she was there.
I really missed the rain last summer during our drought. Yes, it really was a drought and all the unusually brown yards were proof of that. Normally we have wonderful summers with just enough rain to keep everything green but last year was a tough one. I was ready to just dig up the whole yard and put down astro turf by the end of the year.

It really just depends on where you live. There is a lot of flooding throughout the state. We live in East Renton on a big hill so we are pretty safe.

Yeah, our small front lawn did die last summer, and our landlord isn't amused. I did tell them numerous times we were having a hard time with the lawn, but they're cheapskates.

Luckily all it takes is a couple days of good rain and the green is back. Unfortunately when the rain continues the green is moss instead of grass. I almost have myself convinced that I prefer the moss. It's low maintenance and quite soft to walk on. haha

That is exactly what is happening to our front lawn! It's mostly dirt and moss right now. I have the number of a person to call to have a bid put in to clean up the whole yard, front and back. A lot of the damage in the back is from Dozer and they're going to charge us when we move anyway. Might as well get ahead of the game.

I love moss. I've always wanted to go to Ireland to see all of the moss (or at least in my head I image tons of moss there :giggle). One side of our back yard is flooded because we live in the Puyallup Valley. Our front yard is mostly moss with some grass blades sticking out of it. LOL. My hubby is so annoyed and tries to kill it every year, but no luck. I tried selling him on the low maintenance factor, but he doesn't listen. I actually tried to plant moss between the concrete slabs of the front porch area, but it died. Go figure. :giggle

I can't even grow a Chia pet, so there's no gardening going on around here...lol As for the moss, I don't really care either way, but our landlords probably will. Especially when we moved in 2 1/2 years ago the front lawn was pretty nice...oops.
