Does anyone have one of these?

what do you think of it?

I am contemplating cancelling our cable, just because it is expensive and something that can be cut and we can get access to a LOT through Hulu and Netflix. Just wondered if anyone else had any experience with them?

We don't have a Roku but we cancelled our cable about 2.5 years ago and bought a Tivo to stream Netflix through (we use our Wii now though because we like the interface better). DH is really wanting to get a Roku so he can get the hockey package and it adds the possibility of Hulu Plus for us since out Tivo is an older generation. I haven't once regretted giving up cable. We went from about $75 a month ($55 cable and $19 netflix 3 at a time) to about $25 a month (neflix 1 disc at a time and tivo bill). The only complaint DH has is lack of sports programming but luckily we live in a big market so he can at least see what's on network tv.

We have a Roku but we only use it for music. DH is a big classical music fan and he wanted it for internet radio and his classical Rhapsody playlists. It's easy to use and pretty fun.

The sports thing isn't too big of an issue for us because we aren't big sports fans. I think that I have just gotten so used to and dependent on my DVR, but when I think about things to cut out of our budget, I just think it probably makes the most sense.

My husband wants one of those and/or a Slingbox. We haven't taken the plunge yet, but I think he still wants to keep our Dish too. We have a super basic plan though that doesn't cost much more than $30 a month, so I don't really care if he keeps that. I mostly want to keep it for my DVR. :)
