So, I updated to Creative Cloud (photoshop/lightroom), taking advantage of the discount from Creative Live, but when I use the CC2015 version of photoshop, it seems like the fan in my computer runs constantly and it gets really hot. The fan never runs when I'm using CS6 --will run occasionally doing a big import to LR5.

Anybody else noticing this? I'm using a 15" MacBook Pro with retina display with 16 GB of RAM and a separate graphics card. As excited as I am to try out the new features, I'm not sure I'll be happy using it if it's causing that source of drain on my computer resources, not to mention the irritation of the fan noise.

I'm not sure if the tick box I unchecked fixed it or not . . . but to be monitored. It seems to have stopped for now.

What checkbox did you check?
I haven't noticed it yet. I know my computer (PC) was running hot the other day, but I assumed that was because I was making it run LR, PSCC, HDMI to my tv, and a few other things :giggle.

In preferences on the technology previews tab, I unchecked the one that is enable CC 3D animations (previews) -- this seemed like something I wouldn't have much use for -- but also something that I haven't used. but who knows.

@bestcee it does seem like your case might be a valid reason for running hot --
