We received a phone call this past week. Our Littles (the boys)' granmother had cancer. She has been such a joy to their and our lives over the past 5 years. She is almost 90, and she carries such guilt she couldn't raise the boys. She has raised 2 of their siblings (sister 16 and brother 17). We are able to go and visit her this month. First time us meeting her, we have chatted over the phone often.
I was racking my brain for a gift to bring. I talked to my Pastor's wife, (she is a gift giving guru). She laughed and said, "Anne, scrapbook. YOU make the most gorgeous pages, make her a book of the boys."
duh moment!
so I am scurrying to complete a book before we leave for vacation, as we come back from California, do laundry, pay bills and pack to visit her at the top of our great state!
I am so glad I digiscrap and can pull this together...

I'm so sorry for the diagnosis but the scrapbook is such a great idea! What a wonderful gift for her.

That is such a wonderful gift! So sorry to hear about her diagnosis, but I know that you will bring her such joy.

That is PERFECT Anne! I bet she LOVES it! Sorry to hear about her suffering but I don't doubt your gift will bring her a big smile x

It definitely is the perfect gift. My grandmother has an album I made for her of her 90th birthday party and she loves looking at it.

@AnneofAlamo Ha! We call our grands 'the littles". And a printed book of pages is just perfect! The neat thing is when the dear one "graduates" the gift can be passed on- and on, and on... Best to you in the creating and have a very safe, memorable trip!

What a perfect gift! You have so many wonderful pages of your boys already that you can use to make it with!

Perfect. I am sure she will enjoy it. Sorry about her illness .

I'm so sorry, Anne, that your family has to go through this. A scrapbook from you is THE perfect gift. I can't think of anyone who can put as much heart and soul into it as you. Sending you hugs!

Sorry about their grandmother Anne - I hope you can scurry your way through an album for her- cheering you on! :cheer

Such an awesome thoughtful and life affirming gift.
A treasure for the boys and for her.

Really sorry to hear about her illness, but I think a books filled with your littles faces will be something she will love and will look at over and over and over again. :)

Hugs, Anne, I'm sorry to hear of her diagnosis, but I'm sure she will treasure the gift you give. It's so heartfelt and personal! :beat
