Annoying people on the phone.....

the kind who wont listen to what you are saying and will keep repeating the same things though it has nothing to do with what you are inquiring or trying to do?:ignore

I do start the call patiently, but when you have been for 7 days trying to get stuff done.......every day speaking to the same 5 people and getting nowhere....
I lost it today and my lady like personality gave way to my prison inmate one (well maybe just the driver one- I do morph into some loud monster when driving...:giggle )
and I sent one of those people to have a rectal examination.... (not exactly in those words) :furious

You may have noticed I'm here but not quiet here...
We are both Sarita & myself having operations in September.... my car lease ends on Friday, I have been trying to sort the new lease for the past month, and solidly for the past 7 days....getting nowhere with people saying we call you back but they don't...after you spend almost 20 minutes explaining and going over and over again- paying for the calls.

Same with the Tax people, the rent people, the credit card people...plus my carer is getting on my nerves.....

So..... are you a calm one? how do you deal with bureaucracy? Have you lost it at some point? Am I alone in wanting to shout to these kind of people?
It seems to me that the older I get, the less patience I have :(

So let this also serve as an apology for my relative absence...it ll be dealt with in the next couple of days (hopefully) thanks as always for all the amazing love in the gallery :heartlub:beat:heartlub
 
oh goodness, I scream at the recordings...and press buttons in desperation for a real person to come on the line!
 
I had the same problem with pay pal last year. I just kept calling until I finally got that special person who was willing to do whatever it took to help me! They are out there. :) I do get frustrated - I'm generally able to keep my cool with people, but I yell at the recordings.
I hope you get things resolved!!
 
As I get older, I am much calmer and hardly yell or get stress out over it... unless it's life and death situation. I am very patient but I have my limits. I hardly go through the waiting game or maybe I do go through it but I'm not really effected by it..
 
LOL I scream at the recordings too.....

Lil ...it is more or less a life or death kind of thing: my car is a lease through a charity that is government funded, because I am disabled.
No car? no life-
Taxis in London are extremely expensive and I don't have a wheel chair, I'm on crutches and public transport is not really an option in London where the underground has stairs everywhere, I can't walk more than 50 yards, things like that...my car is my life line.

Then the tax & rent people: I don't sort my tax return...I'll be charged, I don't pay my rent? I'm on the streets, in a country where I have no family.......
Not gonna moan or cry, I have a good life here and I am EXTREMELY grateful for what I have....

my thing with the dealing with REAL people who have learned a script in their jobs and you cannot get them to use their minds to get the info you need...is frustrating.
I know I can sort my situation in each & every case if I get to talk to the right person, this week everything has consipred to not happen....
and it has affected me after a week.... I was relatively ok until yesterday...now? lets just say it's 04:17 am here, I need to take the car for an MOT tomorrow in order to extend my lease, and can't sleep...I'm tired, but every time I put my head in the pillow my heart races.... I took propanolol earlier but don't want to take anything else or I wont be able to drive :(http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

Hoping it all works out for you. Yes I have lost with people on the phone, I may or may not have actually asked one if they were (expletive) stupid once, not my best moment but I got who I needed on the phone, lol.
 
I used to rant and rave, but you never get any where with that, so now it goes something like this ; I do realize that this is perhaps a bit outside your normal duties, but....... or I am sorry if you are having a bad day, but........Or I would be forever in your debt if you would just pass me on to your boss, supervisor....... 7 out of 10 that works ,And they don't see you gritting your teeth and biting your tongue in half!
If all that fails go on their web site, find the about us section, or similar, note names down, and ask for actual persons,as if you know them, or as my Aunt does when it is automated, she clicks the option for new account with operator assistance , even if she wants to complain, or have something sorted .They always answer, unlike the people who are at the assistance or close account desks. There must me 10 operators for new accounts ,to 1 or 2 for complaints.
Having said all that, I so hope you car passed the MOT, and that with renewed energy you can today face the world and all the people in it, even the ones who answer phones !
 
I have gotten mad on the phone. People who don't speak English when I am calling an American company p*ss me off. I have told them to go get me someone that I can understand. lol Or when I get the one person who's phone sounds like static...I get very angry.
AND in the car...I am a monster. The kids even tell me to calm down. HA

I do hope things smooth out for you. I will be praying for you and Sarita, too. Hoping the operations are not complicated and you both heal quickly. {{hugs}}
 
i try to handle as much as possible through emails ... and we do not answer the phone unless we know who it is. dealing with companies is a PITA for sure. as for the car lease ... you'd think they would want your renewed business ... goodness a month to sort??? that is ridiculous. hope all is better today and working itself out. we are here if you need to vent again cynthia. hugs!!!

LOL Vivi!!!!! I HAD already gone through those motions before I lost it!!!!! LOL
I always think the best way is to be kind & sympathetic.....
I did pass the MOT, they extended the lease yay!!!!
