I have wanted to go back to school for a few years now since quitting at the end of 2009... Well I just finished up my FaFsa and paid my $25 application fee to my local community college. I'm "beating cheeks" to get everything in line to start at least ONE class by Aug 20th start date.

Next I have to get all my transcripts requested!! That will be priority #1 tomorrow morning :) Monday I'll know where I stand on getting registered :)

Angie - how is it going for you?

My son is in and good to go, still waiting to hear on me. I only need to be reactivated or whatever, so I expect tomorrow we will be ready to register?

I'm annoyed beyond belief to have to fill out the FAFSA since they give me no $ anyway. LOL

I do the FAFSA every year after taxes just in the off chance i decide to go back. I just had to verify my information - and yes the FAFSA is a PITA. This time though it let me import all of my financial information straight from the IRS.... They didn't have that back in 2003 when I first started going to college, lol. It should've never taken me over 10 years (which it will be by the time i finish) to finish school! This WASN'T how I planned my life haha.

Congrats on returning to school. I took a 9 year break and when I returned, I also received PLA (Prior Learning Assessments) which gave me about 12 hours towards my degree. Best decision I ever made....well, one of the best decisions!
