About 2 weeks ago my computer started running really slooooowww. The following week I started getting "the blue screen of death" as my husband calls it. He'd restart it in safe mode, fiddle with it a bit, and it would work fine for a day or two. I had been using it one evening and it was working fine. The next morning, I woke up and it wouldn't even turn on! Apparently, the motherboard was fried. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me in 18 months! I have the *worst* luck with computers! The last one was only 6 months old. The only thing that brings a little solace is the fact that 1. I had just backed *everything* up on my EHD and we were able to salvage the hard drive from the old computer, so I still have everything saved in 2 places and 2. I scored a good deal on a new computer thanks to Black Friday deals. :) But I swear if this happens to me again, I may never own another computer!

Oh no! I woke up one morning and mine was dead to the world. Luckily my techie BIL was able to get my hard drive out and install it on my new computer. But I did lose an EHD about 6 mos before that. Sometimes technology is a PITA.

I hate, when this happens. Got some troubles with mine at the moment, too (especially with the internet) and I really hope that it will not die the next months. It´s not even two years old

There should be a law that computers are invincible... sorry you are having trouble... I know how much of a PITA it is when things crash/burn out!
