Yay! Why does this stuff always happen on a weekend evening? Hubby was just complaining that it felt cool in the house and when he went to adjust the thermostat, the display read system error. They think someone can come out tomorrow. Sigh. I am trying not to complain because it could be much worse, but it is still annoying.
 
Hope it's not too expensive to get put right. And I know what you mean ... everything like this seems to happen at the weekend.
 
Oh no! It's so annoying when a big item conks out like that. But you have to stay warm, so maybe it's a good excuse for hot cocoa and snuggling under a blanket to scrap?
 
They are called "weekend gremlins". They wait until late Friday night and then they do their evil work!!!!! Hope you are able to get it fixed.
 
So the tech guy told my husband to reset the thermostat over the phone. That did nothing. They did send someone out and they wanted to know why we did that since now he cant see the diagnostic error message.:duh
Tech guy got it working for $50 but not sure what went wrong....So it's fixed but not really....
 
Glad it's working anyway. Seems like that's what happens anymore when you call tech, no one knows really what to do.
 
I hate it when that happens. Glad it's working again, though. Ours was down this week, too, but just because we have a wireless thermostat and the batteries died. Then, no info the furnace, no warmth coming out!
 
:groan Ours went out one New Years Eve and of course nothing is open on New Years day :hairpol
 
Uggh. I hate that.

It's amazing that you need a furnace and we have already had to turn on our AC in February with the early heat. I really hope that is not an indication of a longer than usual scorching summer.

I hope you get some sort of a "warranty" on your last repair or they apply that as a credit to whatever is really wrong.
 
most annoying thing, problems with heating... :(
and yes to always happening in the weekend.... is like to annoy us even more :(
 
Oh no.... I hope it can get fixed soon! We always have things happen to our AC when it's 90 degrees/heat wave! Hoping they can locate the problem and fix with a low cost!
 
Oh no - that is so frustrating! Hoping that it gets fixed for good soon!

I have been visited by Weekend Germlins many times. Glad to know what to call them now. :giggle
 
Blurgh! I hope that you guys aren't freezing by now. My parents lost power on Thursday and I ended up spending the night at our house because it was getting too cold at their place. Thankfully the power came back on Friday for them.
