Mom of the year goes to..... Renee!!!!

For waiting almost 2 weeks to bring her son to see the Dr. only to find out he has tonsillitis AND bronchitis. But, in my defense, he was doing much better and bringing him to the ER would have probably made him worse since there is a nasty bug going around. I don't think I've ever x-rayed so many children who are actually sick... Anyhow, my son is actually feeling fine, just worn down and tired.

Aw, must either be a mild case or he's a really tough cookie if you didn't know he was that sick. I hate that you can sometimes end up sicker after going to the doctor just from the exposure. I swear that's how my kids picked up a lot of stuff when they were little, especially before their doctor moved to a bigger office where the sick kids could be more separated from the ones who were just there for checkups. Hope he gets better quickly now! (((hugs)))

you are a great mom, Renee!!
I am so sorry that he is so sick though. It is hard to know sometimes whether they are really super sick or just fighting some little bug.
Don't stress over it, just cuddle up with him! :)

Hope he is feeling better soon.

You're a great Mom, Renee! Don't be so hard on yourself! Hope he feels better asap! :hug

Hope he feels better soon.

And just think of it this way, it will give him a great story to tell when he's older and wants to give you a bad time. ;)

I hope he's feeling better soon! And don't be too hard on yourself. It's tough to know how far to go sometimes.

Awww Renee...don't beat yourself up. I did that to two of my boys once. They were sick...fevers and all, but within a week they were better and even sent them back to preschool. Then, I got VERY sick. The sickest I've ever been actually. I had strep throat even though the doctor was sure I didn't. He asked if anyone else had been sick so I took the boys in to be cultured. Sure enough...they were still carrying the virus around and infecting everyone. Thankfully they didn't have a sore throat like I did though. They just had headaches and fevers.

Then, my favorite was when my oldest was young...maybe 3 or so. He wanted these new shoes SOOOO badly. I kept thinking they were hurting him since he kind of limped in them. He told me no...they were fine. So, one day his toenail turns black. I look in the shoe, and all the paper is still stuffed up in the toe. This is like 25 years ago, and I STILL feel horrible guilt over it!

I've had my moments over the years so you are not alone! We still love ya! ;)

Thanks girls! He's fine... it's not the worst I've done to him. I remember bringing him to the ER when he was about a year old and his oxygen sats were so low they were suprised he was in such a good mood! lol! Healthcare workers are the worst when it comes to bringing their kids to the ER. We see so many parents jump the gone for silly things that we wait until the very last minute. He still loves me and was happy to spend the day with me. Love my little guy. I very rarely get to spend time with just one of them... it was kind of nice. ;)

We have ALL had bad mommy moments! You can't beat yourself up, girl! We do the best we can with what we have.

Awww, poor mom. : ( Brush aside that guilt and feel good about the fact that he's gonna get well now. And then snuggle on the couch with him while he watches tv and you make a layout.

aww I hope he feels better soon! I have major guilt from a bad mummy moment too. At least he will be fine soon. :)
