So this week's saga has been when will I get an answer on my grad school interview and what will it be. It finally came today and I didn't make it (only 20 students are accepted). I am sad and yet I have an answer. The other option is finding a job that does not require a counselor's license. But even before that is losing weight and gaining strength, maybe some volunteering -- all working toward being employable.
Although she had no idea and was sleeping probably, @KarenB was a great help. I kept starting a scraplift and then it fit another challenge. It gave me creativity, yet also not having to come up with it on my own -- so if you see several of your pages in the gallery Karen that's why. Thanks for helping me learn some clean and simple techniques.
My son has been having me read Super Better which is talking about game theory to overcome obstacles. So you maybe seeing game related scrapping.

That's fantastic Carilyne! Again, sorry to hear about the grad school and here's to the new path you will create!!!

I am disappointed that you didn't get a place. But so happy to have helped in some way. Good luck with all of your goals. You will get there - you are stronger than you think! Let me know if I can be of any help. Either awake or asleep lol

I still have to do the scrap lift challenge. I felt like I learned a lot today. I love your style clean and simple but just a touch of something different.

Sorry you did not get in...... but maybe that means there is something better on the horizon!

I have found that months (sometimes longer) after a disappointment, I find that there was a reason for it and I'm usually in a better place. I hope that happens for you. I need to get some scrapbooking mojo back -- perhaps I should try the scraplift challenge first!

Hugs, Carilyne! I'm so sorry it didn't turn out the way you'd have liked! I hope there is a silver lining that you will see! You have a great, strong attitude! They don't know what they are missing!

Wow ~ that was stiff competition if there were only 20 spots! Good for you for going for it. I know that whatever path you are on, you have your creativity and a positive outlook, and you will be such a success!

LOL! I should have read this thread first :) but like other people have been saying and I said earlier, no doubt there is a reason why you were not accepted this time......... remain positive and I am sure good things will come about! Sending you lots of positive thoughts and a great ol' big hug! :)

Haha my plan worked I got 2 hugs!
I wasn't sure who would read the other thread and I really didn't explain things so I posted this one. Thank you for your wishes times 2. I have been trying to look at it as one door closed, look around and see what opened up.

Love that you got some inspiration from the lovely Karen. But what a shame about the grad school application. What a tight entry list. Definitely another door will open. ((hugs))
