It's amazon prime day and there's so many deals. I'm overwhelmed, but want to find some good deals.

I'm looking for deals on the ring doorbell (hubby wants one), MyQ garage door sensors (need a second one for our 3rd car garage) and fun card/board games.

Do you do prime day? If so what did you buy/are looking for?

Ring prime specials started last night. Mine are already shipped and I'll get them tomorrow. I've been wanting one for quite awhile and finally found someone that could install for me (this girl is not handy at all) and since he is an IT guy, he will handle the whole setup! I did choose to get 2 outside cameras/lights as well. And, 2 inside cameras for keeping an eye on the dog when I'm away. But I did save about $350 by waiting until Prime day.

I'm done shopping.

Order placed - deal snagged on an iPhone tripod. Need to learn to make videos - tutorials. :happydance2

Checked art supplies - what I was looking for is not on sale...or the larger multi color sets are still cheaper (cost per pen for example) than the Amazon prime deal. Posca pens and ink pads.

I still haven't found anything I NEED to buy on prime day. The deals aren't as good as they were hyped up to be... at least for the stuff I'm looking for. I've got some baking mats and a dice game in my cart, but I haven't hit checkout yet... still waiting to see.

I do need a good kitchen knife set, so if anyone has one that they can recommend, please do! :agree

I went to Sams Club app to see if prices were cheaper there than at amazon and a lot of the things pantry wise were cheaper at sams. The oatmeal was the same price but had some more packets in it.

I did the same... great minds!

I did finally see a deal on the myQ garage door control system so I got it. We just needed another door sensor, but it's way cheaper to buy the hub with a sensor than just a sensor, so I did that. We'll just link the sensor up to our current hub and keep the other one as a backup if something fails.

I got quite a few things I needed for the wedding... like bamboo plates.. a bridesmaid dress for one of the girls ... gold shoes for me... ..vests for Eric and Kai...
Eric got some car things for his mustang...
And I also got asia some stitch items for her 14th !birthday on thrusday

DH ordered another Echo speaker thing that came with a free color changing smart lightbulb. I ordered a pair of denim bermuda shorts, since I could use another pair for work. We are such big spenders! LOL

I did also check to see if a laundry sorting cart I'd been eyeing was on sale, but it wasn't. However, Rakuten informed me that Overstock had it on sale as part of their competing with Prime Days thing, so I ordered it from there. :agree

I got sucked down that rabbit hole yesterday and stayed down there for a long time. DH ordered a few things, but everything I wanted was NOT included - that's usually my luck.

Do you have the link for the bermuda shorts? I've been wanting to try some.

These Levi's are the ones I ordered. The reviews are all over the place, but I figured I could just return them if they don't work for me. I usually order a bunch of different brands and cuts and then just return what doesn't fit. Since I have to have a dark wash with no distressing, it limits my options. Lately for me a lot of them will be too big in the waist if they fit through the hips. I ordered half a dozen different ones about 6 weeks ago and kept 2 - these Levi's and these Lee, both of which I really like. I have an older pair of Hybrid & Company that I like and was going to order another of the same, but they were out of stock for most sizes. (ETA: They do have other washes in stock. Price varies a lot by size/wash.)

A while back I bought a pair of elastic waist pull on ones based on all the reviews of how amazingly comfortable they are. They are ok, but I don't find them any more comfortable than the regular zippered ones, they are actually harder to get on and off, and now they are too big in the waist and since I can't wear a belt with them, I have to keep hiking them up. I do not recommend. LOL

Thanks I'll have to see if I can find some that fit. :agree I have the same problem with the waist being too big if they are big enough for my hips and thighs. I need curvy ones I guess. :giggle

DH just picked up Exploding Kittens and the Exploding Kittens Deluxe Edition. We'll save them for stocking stuffers for Christmas.

I usually buy a few things here and there, mostly Christmas or birthday gifts, but nothing has really jumped out at me this year. I do need a new area rug for my living room, so I have been watching some of those deals.
I have a TON of stuff in my "saved for later" so I keep checking to see if anything there goes on sale, but nada.

I love the idea of Prime Day, but I mostly end up buying things we needed anyway. This year my splurges (aka unplanned purchases) were some audiobooks through the Audible sale and upgrading our Fire Stick while they were 60% off. We also bought some ink refills for pens because all the Pilot brand stuff was on sale. I've been eyeing a certain kind of around-the-neck light to use while crocheting, and those were on sale so I bought one to try. I also earned a few Amazon credits for future purchases: $10 for their stamp thing and $5 from my Audible purchases.

Reeeeally trying to cut back on Amazon purchases... but I did get a cordless vacuum that was on a pretty good deal - I have been wanting one for a while!

I didn't find much on sale that I really wanted/needed, but they did send me one email to notify me that a few items I had in my "saved for later" items in my cart were on sale. One was an extension cord with multiple plugs and USB outlets that I'd been considering getting for my son who's off to college in a few weeks, so I did buy one of those.

The only other spur of the moment items I purchased was a set of colorful knives for like $11 and a 8 piece Teflon pan set for $30. They were both SO cheap and were both items I needed for my camping gear, so I went for it. I definitely don't need anything super fancy since it's for camping, so I figured it was worth the risk of such a cheap set. Lol.

I ended up making one more purchase. Last night I was having trouble reading some very small print and the really old magnifying glass I have wasn't doing me any favors. So I hopped on to see if any handheld magnifying glasses were on sale. There were several so I chose one and bought it. This one even has a light as long as batteries are in it. :giggle
