I just wanted to share that I got Gavin's Autism results back and he does not have Autism! We are just over the moon! He is considered Global Developmental Delay with the main delay in speech, but to finally have a true diagnosis really takes a load off. My husband works with an Autistic adult and that is what I did before I stopped working so, were a huge advocates for Autism. I am just happy that they have finally tested him and now we know for sure. We also got recommendations for things that can help us in the areas where we are already working. But we were told that we are already doing the best things for him which made us feel amazing as parents. All Gavin cared about was that he got a pencil for doing some work...lol. He is too funny. Thanks for letting me share my news. I am just so happy. :heartlub

That is so awesome!

We are on the opposite side of things...just starting all the testing and millions of questionnaires.

I'm so glad that you got some positive reinforcement for what you're already doing and now have a course of action ahead. :)

That is wonderful news!

I can say that as a parent of a 19 year old who had speech delay as a toddler, speech therapy definitely works. I'm so glad you finally have information and can form your plan of action.

So happy for you all, finally an answer to the question that was "on hold".

Thanks Everyone! :heartslub After years and years of testing and not knowing it is nice to finally just have an answer.

Brynn, I am sending you lots of big hugs because I have been there. I have been through years and years of testing and filling our questionnaires and paperwork. I hope that you will get some answers!
