HELP. For the past week or so, I have had quite a bit of trouble getting my photobucket to load and upload. Well, it will do it, but it takes about 20 minutes for each page to load (not an exaggeration... I've walked away from it to wait). Even when everything else is fine telling me it's not my internet.

Anyway, I'm so over it.

Does anyone know of another good photo storage site?

I use Flickr to store images but I honestly do not know how to copy images from there to the forum. Can anyone help with that? There is no right click option in Flickr to "copy image URL". KWIM? Am I just missing something totally obvious?

Thanks. I've always used PB but I'd love an alternative when it refuses to work for me.

P.S. I realize that I can't complain too much since it's free, but just asking.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! PB is really playing me up too!

I'd be interested to find an alternative too xx

I'm not much help. I've had so many issues with PB in the past, that I jumped off that train, and got a yearly plan with Smugmug. I upload all my layouts, web and full. I also am trying to upload images, but will start with the year in quarters. There is no limit, and I've even deleted a file. When I realized it, they were able to return it and fix my accfident. I was SO happy. They are smaller, but really fantastic when it comes to customer service.

Free... I found this article on Lifehacker. http://lifehacker.com/5808625/five-best-web-sites-for-image-hosting-and-photo-sharing/
Maybe Google+ or Imgur for your images? Is Tinypic free?

Good Luck!

PB can be such a PITA at times. I use it, and knock on wood it has been ok for me lately.

I think Farrah uses Flickr (there was someone who just posted their CT images in this week's SOSN thread and had Flickr as the link instead of PB ... and I believe it might have been Farrah) ... she should have the scoop on how to go about it.

Click on a photo in Flickr. See the little arrow in the lower right of the big black box your photo is in? If you hover over the arrow, it says "Share this photo" in a tooltip. If you click on it, a box pops up with links to share. Select "BBCode" for what you want to paste into the forum here.

or there's Lorry ... who knows absolutely everything about anything Techy. :) love you lorry. you are awesome!

Click on that arrow and then choose BBcode. I copy everything from [img ] to [ \img] and then paste it in the forum. Easy peasy. :)https://the-lilypad.com//www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/

i used to like photbucket, been using snapstack, but don't like that either. i used to have flicker account, but like Cynthia, unsure on getting back on

I still use PB and so far haven't had too many slowness problems, but this is really good to know about Flickr being another possibility! :)

Can you set a Flickr account to private? I have some issue with PB, the main one that it is so cluttered with crap it slows everything down, & if I leave it open too long I have close down my entire browser & start again. The one positive thing is that it's a private account! That's why I stick with it.

All of your photos can be private, if that's what you mean. You can set it so the default upload privacy is private, and you can also change the privacy for any individual album or photo.

Thanks, Lorry! That's exactly what I wanted to know!

I need to follow this thread. I am a long time PB user and like the quick options that they have for copying. I am quite put off by all of the ads and stuff that take forever to load the page. (free version) UGH! That being said, I had problems with Flickr in the past not uploading my images the right size. Could have totally been a user error. I have been known to be on the low-techy side. :giggle I wanted to like Flickr, but there is something about it that just doesn't work for me. Maybe I'll give it another try.
