almost. ^__^ my wonderful laptop ate itself last weekend. It was AWESOME. but my uncle came to the rescue.. replaced my hard drive etc. I got her back wednesday or thursday.. one of those days. I've been slowly restoring my files.. Just got illustrator up and running (after a small ACK! it's not letting me reinstall!!!!!! all fixed there now :p)

but I can't find my PSE disk lmao that's important!! I have the stupid sleeve with the serial # so i'm sure the disk is somewhere nearby :p I actually think I installed it on connor's computer now that i'm thinking. Maybe it's in the cd drive and I'm a total doof.

Lappy is running SUPER hot though since i got her back.. I'm concerned :/ He cleaned out all the cat fur (it was running hot before) so it's not that.. but eep! No blowing up lappy!!!!

Anyway.. wish me luck as I prepare to hunt down that silly disk. It came with my most recent tablet so I can't even ring up adobe and be like saaaaaaave me. (It's also not the current pse version :p so no dl'ing the trial and plugging code in either. HMPFH)
 
Glad to hear you're ALMOST back! Hope you'll find it quickly. Why is it that what you NEED you can't find? You'll probably run into a couple of other things you had misplaced though in your search;)
 
I hope you find your disk soon. Put your son on the task... kids have good eyes. Tell him you'll give him a dollar or something to motivate him. :)

We finally bought a tub to put all of our disks in so we'd at least have them all in one place when we need them. Of course they are awfully disorganized, but at least they are there together.
 
Oh and... they make little lifters for laptops with fans in them to help cool them down. Most of them are even powered by USB so you could still be mostly portable.
 
i need one of those.. Right now i have my standing fan pointing directly at it ^_^ it's working, but seems pretty silly :p I'm 99% fixed up now! YAY. just grabbing all my styles/actions (the restore refused to copy them over for some reason... so i'm making a shadow restore and will drag and drop them manually) Still SUPER bummed about losing my fonts :[ why wouldn't that be an automatic folder to copy in a backup :[ BAH. but you know.. illustrator and pse are back those are the important things LOL i can work again!! YAY.
