a few years ago i was tested for allergies and every single one was negative. the fall is approaching and i feel congested and tired. sigh. i'm thinking allergies. do you have seasonal allergies?

I get a little hayfever, tree pollen is a bit icky for me. This time of year is difficult for me... when it's humid and neither warm nor really cold. It makes my Asthma go a little crazy but I'm not sure if that's climate or allergen, really!

I don't think I have any allergies.... except maybe dust. But I think that is just normal. My Dad and my Sister used to both have havfever really bad in the summer and fall, but neither of them deal with that anymore. My sister is still allergic to her dog though. And my Pediatrician thinks my 10 YO has allergies, but he hasn't been tested for anything specific. He had some asthma issues in the spring and need breathing treatments and an inhaler. boo!

I am really, really struggling with allergies and asthma right now. Normally mine are mild, but ragweed is very high this year and it's causing me lots of problems. I am going on 8 weeks "in the red zone" and it's been miserable. Ack. My family and I are supposed to go to Disney in October but right now I am not cleared to travel. :(

I think I should go get tested. My nose has been congested for a while and I get sinus pressure in my forehead :(

Yep, we're suffering. I'm sorry you guys are too, it gets old. I'm allergic to pretty much everything. My girls and I are definitely over it. Right now the pollens have gone down some but the molds are really high. We don't have much of an off season unfortunately.

Allergies...boy where do I start?!

I'm allergic to grass, tress, and dust. Most the time I can get away with just taking allergy medicine. But if I get a cold it usually lasts f.o.r.e.v.e.r and turns into asthma issues. We didn't discover this was going on until about a year ago a lot of doctors don't like to term someone asthmatic.

My hubby has REALLY been struggling. His allergies always turn into massive ear and sinus infections. We finally decided to get him shots for the allergies. The poor man is finally able to sleep and breathe!

My oldest has allergies that come and go. She gets lots of migraines from them.

My second is on medicine and has had several really bad flare ups over the past year. I was in the other room when I heard her start wheezing. SCARY! She also just had her eardrum rupture from all the fluid that build up behind her ear from her allergies.

Me third is on A TON of medicine to stop allergies and asthma. She sees the doctor so much for allergies and asthma that all the nurses and the pharmacy knows us by name.

My fourth could have them. She has a lot of the same signs her sisters did when they were younger.

My fifth well...he is too young to know but given his family track record. I'm sure he will.

I seriously feel like we live at the doctors because of our allergies/asthma. Some day I hope for the visits to go down, but who knows?!

She also just had her eardrum rupture from all the fluid that build up behind her ear from her allergies.

I can totally sympathise with this, I got an allergy related infection last year and ended up with ruptures in both ear drums. I can't even tell you the pain. I hope she feels better soon!

Well, reading this, I'm starting to wonder who is NOT allergic???

I never had anything in the past, but it's been a year since I stared sneezing a lot at certain moments and certain places.
So I think I'm allergic to something now, but it hasn't bugged me enough (yet) to make me go to the doctor. I hope it stays this way.
Wishing you girls all the best to go this through and Laura, hang in there! Disney could magically make your astma disappear (I'm hoping with you!)

Celeste, You could be a false positive or only be sensitive to something and not "strong" enough to be allergic. We suffer through Spring and Fall allergies. This morning I woke up with one eye super swollen, yep allergies!

I've had allergy problems since I was a kid - some years they're really mild, others I am absolutely miserable. I'm basically allergic to all grasses, trees and dust, just like Jewelle. When we lived on the west side, the heavy season for me was March/April. Now that we've moved to the east side of the state, it's August/September.

And just so you know, you can develop allergies any time in your life. My husband has never had them, but since we've moved here he has a horrible time in August/September.

I had no problem with my allergies while I was out of town in Hawaii. But I get home Sunday and BAM! I've been congested since I stepped off the plane I think. It's one of the things I hate about where I live.

I had allergy testing last year and it came back negative except for a mild reaction to mold and dust. I start sneezing in the fall and have a runny nose most of the winter so the testing might have come back mild reaction but it doesn't feel mild to me. Plus I have blocked tear ducts so am prone to drippy eyes and congestion building up in my face. Right now I have a nasty sinus infection so am going to go get antibiotics today. I love the fall....but not the allergy/sinus problems I always get by the end of September.

Oh gosh... I hope you guys find some relief! It reminds me of how lucky I am!
