Adobe CC Membership

I just received my renewal email from Adobe for my Creative Cloud membership ( Photoshop Photography Program). I initially signed up during their Black Friday sale last year with the monthly payment being $9.99. At that time I was unsure if the cost might increase at renewal, but it hasn't! I'm not sure if the cost would be the same to sign up now with a new membership. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is considering going with something similar... keep an eye during Black Friday sales this year

I think they ended up setting that as the normal price for that package (Photoshop + Lightroom). At least I keep seeing that advertised everywhere. I don't use Lightroom and just upgraded Photoshop right before they went to the subscription thing, so I'm just sticking with that for now.

I just changed from full cloud to just the Photography one and it's $9.99.

Yeah, they decided to make that the normal price, but even when it was a limited time offer they did say they weren't going to jack up the price at renewal. I forget exactly how they worded it, but it was clear that while they weren't promising a whole lifetime of the same price, that it wasn't a "first year only" price.

Ok. From what I seethe price is 9.99 for Lightroom and Photoshop. I don't know if I would use Lightroom and I've been using photoshop elements with XXL plugins for years. What the advantage to moving over. I'm confused on if I should switch. Suggestions and opinions welcome.

They changed how long the terms are for. When I initially signed up last year, it was a monthly subscription... now they are yearly, or you have the option to pay in full for a year and get a small discount, I believe.

I had the whole CC for a year and then switched to the PS+LR. In that year, I opened up Illustrator a total of 1 time. I didn't have time to learn it.

I have had the PS+LR sub for a year and will be renewing it. My sub should be ending soon.

I have PS + LR as well, keep opening LR and playing in it a little bit but still have lots of learning to do. My subscription renews in January I believe and if it stays at $9.99 I will keep it, exchange rate is higher now as our dollar has dropped but I still think it's a good deal. I have PS CS5 and Illustrator installed to fall back on if I decide not to renew however.

Illustrator scares and confuses me so it just sits there on my desktop taunting me, I have tried playing in it and watching tutorials but I suck.
