Do you have any problems with this program when you start to have way too many kits organized with it? It seems to have slowed down so much lately. Thanks.

I use Picasa, so I can't help, sorry!

oOoh! my heck! YES!!!! It has slowed TONS and I am so stinking aggravated, makes me want to :hairpol, and I know it's not my system. Seriously considering going with something else if ACDSee doesn't come up with some kind of patch to speed things up! And FAST!

Something else would be nice but the idea of tagging every product I have AGAIN sounds like dipping my toe into hell. UGH!!!

I know exactly what you mean, Shannon, but I'd much rather retag everything in another program than to have continue to put up with how sloooooooooow ACDSee has become. :(

The system is slow but I haven't found anything better.

My real complaint is with Database Maintenance. It takes several DAYS (3) to load the information before it even starts processing. Then my system will crash before the whole thing completes. Not doing the maintenance slows things down but I'm afraid to start it again.

Have you optimized your database and made sure that you've excluded the folders that don't have digi stuff in them so it doesn't have to look there?

Bridge is great if you use PS!

I do use Bridge, quite a bit as a matter of fact and mostly for batch renaming. I don't like using it as my main organizer though, I still prefer ACDSee.

Does yours run well, Stacia? And I optimize ALL the time, thinking that this time something magical will happen and everything will go back to running how it should. And it doesn't. Ever. Even when I've done it 42 times in a row. ;)

Are you all on Macs or PCs? I'm on a Mac and I don't recall ever having trouble like this on my PC. I really like ACDSee and find this so frustrating.

I have the same issue, and I'm looking for alternatives...without spending too much money
I googled and found out this article .
I was wondering if someone has ever tried Picajet . they state "With its high speed, batching capabilities, and sharing options, consider PicaJet Photo Organizer if you are organizing thousands of photos." - so I think slowness will not be an issue. If you used it, please share your opinion :)
