A Little Update...so Happy to be Scrapping Again!!

So...I haven't been around the Pad much at all this year and I have missed you guys so much! After MOC in January we found out that my husband was being sent to Korea for a year (without family). He's a chaplain in the Army and we were totally caught off guard with this news. It really threw my scrapping mojo off for this year. I've been fulfilling CT requirements, but not much else.

Anyway, we said goodbye to my husband and he left for Korea yesterday morning. :( It was a really sad day, but in many regards I was ready to just get it started so we can start moving on and ticking off the days until he'll be back home.

Now I'm super ready to get back to scrapping and participating in the community here!

Tell me what's going on that I need to know about. I'm planning to check out the Summer School events and challenges and I'll be back to the monthly challenges this month. I'm so excited about that!!!

I love the Pad and one of my goals for this year is to really invest in this community! <3 you all!!!
 
That's so hard to be apart for so long. Hopefully you can keep in touch with your husband with things like Skype so you can "see" each other regularly and hopefully the time flies by.

So glad to see you back participating at the Pad and getting back into the challenges and events we have planned. Summer School is going to be a lot of fun and of course our regular monthly challenges are always a good way to stay involved.
 
Oh gosh, I don't know if I could overcome this, you are so strong!!! I allready wondered if I was missing your posts in the forum or something. Glad to have you back and I hope you can spend some time here while ticking of the days.
 
Wow that must be really hard! You have most definitely been missed! We are happy to have you back and hope the adjustment to your family life isn't too hard on all of you. We are here to help in any way we can. Looking forward to seeing lots of beautiful pages from you in the gallery too.
 
So glad to see you back. Sorry that you are going through the separateness issue. Ugh. That has to be difficult. Big hugs to you. Just jump in to everything here and we'll keep you company until hubby gets back. :)

Thank you! I'll definitely check that out. I'm positive I'm not using Lightroom to its full potential.
 
Oh boy, Monica! First, hugs! That's so hard to work through. I hope you choose TLP to give you some support when you might need it. Second, I wondered where you went! I love your pages, lol! I hope that scrapping and sharing those pages and memories digitally with DH will help while he is away!
 
That must be hard. I can understand that in a way it must almost be a relief that the year has begun and you can start crossing off the days. And glad to hear that you have the scrapping and a renewed creativity too :-)

Tough year, scrapping will be a nice distraction..

Will you be able to meet him somewhere in Korea or are logistics too hard? would love to see South Korea...
 
Hugs, hugs. Keep busy and the year will pass quickly. We are all here for you and ready to keep you busy. Why not do a project life for the time he is away, you can send the images of life at home and share all the good stories he might miss otherwise.
There is always lots to do at the pad and always a comforting word when you need it. Glad you are active with us again.
 
Oh boy! That is a big change for your family, but I pray it will end up being very rewarding in the end. I also hope he'll have access to skype or something like that so you can at least keep in touch some. I'm glad you're back here and hopefully scrapping will help make the time pass and give you something to capture the memories of this year for him to see when he gets back.
 
Gosh, what a change in life for you all. Sending out thoughts of peace and fleeting time as he fufills his commitment. So glad to have you back in the saddle and feeling inspired! ♡
 
Oh boy! My friend and her husband are just reunited after what was supposed to be a year, but was only 10 months in the end. She made a cake each month, and one of her girls through away a candle to celebrate one month closer.

I'm glad to see you around! Hopefully the days will be short, even if the year is long.
