I have a baby shower to go to today. I made her a rag quilt, finished it weeks ago, v impressed with my ontopofthingsedness.

So now I need to wrap it. Damn it, no box. Go to Hallmark, get box.

Come home.

Oooh shiny internet.

Put laundry on.

Start dishes.

oh yeah, wrap gift.

Get blanket in box, wrap box.

Decide to look online for cute way to tie the bow.

INTERNET SO SHINY

Hour goes by.

Still no progress on looking for way to tie bow.

Time to put clothes in dryer.

ROTFL This is about the degree of focus and productivity I've had lately as well! Hmmm, well, you're probably actually beating me in the productivity area. :giggle

I made it! And it was the cutest wrapped gift there. Not because of my stellar bow making, I ended up just tying it. But I wrapped the box in kraft wrapping paper and the ribbon was 1" light blue grosgrain with white dots. No baby paper or anything. It was cute.
 
I'm going to organize my pantry and make dinner and make a crock pot breakfast and....SQUIRREL!

I was going to clean the house and do laundry. So I'm looking on the shiny internet at a ScanCafe email... this propels me to go look and see how many slides I still have left to scan. So I start scanning slides and doing laundry. House isn't clean but I've almost finished 4 carousels of slides!
 
We moved to the Philippines last month, and we were without internet for 12 days. I read two books, kept the house clean and got completely unpacked in 2 days. Pretty sure that wouldn't have happened with the internet.

And I probably would have missed the shower, so yay for you for not being TOO distracted!
 
That totally cracks me up! I'm so the same way. Except that I never completely finish anything. I get a bunch of things half done.
 
Yeah the kitchen drawers I started to organized are still in the middle of their being-organized-stage. Ooops. We all gotta get sucked into the internets sometimes!
 
Ha ha ha! Angie, you crack me up! :) You should see me while cleaning the house. I'll pick up one thing and walk to the back of the house to put it away and get stopped by another mess mid-way there and put down the first thing I picked up to pick up something else and never get thing one actually put away. sigh.
