When you read the numbers 7 11 what do you think of?

I’m currently lifting weights and keep getting 7 and 11 reps.

There’s a gas station/convenience store called 7 Eleven where I live and their specialty drink is a slush called a Slurpee so today they give away free small Slurpees which I’m looking forward to. My favorite flavor is piña colada.

I also think of a dice candy bar game my family plays because the goal is to spin a 7 or 11 or doubles.

How about you?

I love their Slurpees, but I can't remember the last time I stopped and got one. A number of years ago the GKs and I would walk up there and get them.

FYI: Will, Natasha and Chase are my GKs. Isabelle was Will's high school girlfriend.

My husband worked at the 7-Eleven headquarters for about five years, so that date always pops out for me. I have several 7-Eleven t-shirts that he got free while he worked there. I'm not a fan of Slurpees, so I can blissfully ignore the lines to get a free one. It's amazing how crazy people will go to get something that would normally only cost a dollar or two for free! LOL

doesn't mean anything to me.

Don't you have 7 Eleven in the U.K? We have it here in Sweden.

One funny thing: there's a 7 Eleven in Stockholm, that's been at the same place since the 70s (I think it was). It was the first one in Sweden, and it was open 24-7, and that was really special back then. I heard an interview once with the current owner, it was some kind of jubilee. Open 40 or 50 years maybe? Anyway - I remember the owner said he had no idea where the key where, since they've never locked the door since opening. LOL

I think of the Gas Station, even though we have no 7-11 gas stations around here that is what I think of!

1. It's my friend Jennie's birthday
2. We love the 7 Eleven convenience store! We actually had one on the corner near our house that recently closed, but there are two others just a few minutes drive away so we still frequent it. I actually just send my oldest son to take his siblings to get their free slurpees for 7/11 day.

I love your Slurpee Day page! I made one last year but forgot to take pictures this year.

I agree it's crazy but I'm one of those crazy people lol

I love that story about 7 Eleven in Stockholm Eva! I never thought about never needing keys when it's open 24-7!

I know two people with birthdays today too. :) That's fun your kids went to get theirs together! My girls are at church camp this week and they were sad to miss Slurpee day lol

I have a few 7-11 gas stations near me. I get gas from them occasionally but rarely ever go inside.

I'm with you and rarely ever go inside gas stations. We usually only go in when we're on road trips so it's a special treat for the kids.

7-Eleven...oh the Slurpees and oh the memories. When I was little, we lived in Atlanta, and one day the neighbor boy and I (we were like 5 and 4 or something) decided we were going to walk from our apartment complex to 7-Eleven by ourselves. Just to do it, no money or anything lol. Oh boy, were we in trouble.

I just recently learned from a radio contest that 7-Eleven is the largest franchise in the world based on number of locations.

We don't have one really close by here but I wish we did.

I love your story about you and the neighbor boy Jan! I got into trouble with my neighbor boys around that age too lol good times!

That's impressive they have the largest franchise in the world!

When 7-Eleven opened in my area they were only open 7am to 7pm and that’s where the name came from. Before 7-11 we had High’s Dairy Stores … they sold milk, ice cream, drinks, but no slush-drink until after 7-11 arrived in town, then they introduced their version … can’t remember if they were Icee’s or Slushies or what.

Unfortunately the High’s stores started closing and I can’t remember the last time I saw one.

it's the lock-in petrol/gas app to me -if one 7-Eeven out of the 5 in the radius the app picks up has cheaper petrol than the one you're currently at, the current location will honour the discount (up to 15c/litre off anyway) and our closest 7-Eleven is usually the most expensive hence i think of the petrol price lock app.

i don't think i've ever had a slurpee and they don't interest me (there were never any near us growing up, some of my daughters friends thought DH and i were terrible parents in that she'd only ever had 2 slurpees in her life in senior highschool and both were when she was out with other friends; i'm 100% sure DS has never had one in his 15yrs of life and even though we go for petrol when we need it, i don't usually buy anything else in petrol stations regardless of their deals but they're one of the few places that do Krispy Kreme here so that's the other thing my DD would associate with 7-Eleven).
