5/16 SPEED SCRAP :) instructions and pages here!

i'll be posting the SS instructions here, as well as in the chat room :) you will have 1 hour after the chat to complete your page and post in the gallery and link it in this thread! now let's get started :)

1) you will need to select one photo, cropped into a rectangle and placed towards the middle of the page. repeat the photo in black and white and layer it under the original a bit.

2) add some background paper - layer a light neutral (may have a subtle pattern) on top of a brighter, patterned paper.

3) using some papers, layer some paper strips, banners or other shapes under the pictures.

4) add some elements around the pictures - must include a) a frame element (does not have to actually frame the picture) and some string or ribbon. everything else is up to you :)

5) create a element cluster towards the bottom right, too and include a place to add some journaling (maybe a journal card or element?)

6) add the finishing touches: some paint or brush work, some journaling, a title and a date

now you have one hour (until 3 PM EST) to finish up, save and post! make sure to post in the gallery and link us up here! i'll PM participation prizes to everyone as soon as i can :)

Here is my effort...I decided not to tweak at all and leave the scrap just as I created it as we went along.

 
Thanks, Dana. I'm nearly finished with my page but not quite close enough to upload. Gotta run teach piano lessons. Will be back later this afternoon to post my page.

Karen... it's actually funny. I missed most of the speed scrap. I showed up the last ten minutes of the chat.
Dalis was a busy bee off the computer yesterday.
