How come some companies are just out to get money off you

I have my phone and ipad with different network providers the ipad was updated to 4g over the weekend with no cost to me whatsoever

My phone is on 3G still and is terrible service anyway so I rang up to ask about upgrading to 4g the man said oh great news 4g is by you now I was willing to pay an extra £5 a month but it was £8 so thought oh gone on then I'll do that till it's time to cancel next year,it was almost a done deal till he said that will be a £20 fee for us to change your plan so £20 for them to note it and get someone to flick a switch

Needless to say I told them not to bother

How come one company can give it you for nothing and no admin free yet another can't,roll on next year I hate the phone and I hate the network provider too lol

I think it´s the same in every country :( they always say it wouldn't cost much then add all the fees, VAT and here we go 20 € more and it was 5 € before. The worst part normally it's 20 € every month not only for changing the plan.

glad its not just the uk,roll on next year so i can ditch the contract lesson learned dont go with vodafone lol

I'm moving on from them too, Karen - their contracts just don't stack up compared to others. Hate all these 24 month contracts too. Not sure whether I even want to bother upgrading my phone, but it's getting pretty battered and I'd be worried that it'll stop give up working ...

If your iPad is with Three, then what they label as 4G isn't true 4G in the EE/Orange/TMobile sense. However, it is comparable in speed and reception. This is why Three give it to you free, and other networks charge you more :)

Well before three went to 4g my 3G was excellent and much better than vodafones non existent 3G on my phone so how's that work then if your saying that's three is not comparable ??
