Anyone following the Basketball Tournament? Did you fill out a bracket? Did a team spoil yours?

I keep seeing Facebook posts about how such and such team spoiled a bracket, so I wondered if anyone here is feeling the highs and lows of college basketball.

I didn't fill out a bracket, well, except for the pizza bracket for fun from Papa Murphy's Pizza.

And, if you are outside the US, do you have something similar in your country? A college tournament that a lot of people follow?

no, I'm not following it. We just (finally) finished HS basketball. We lost a couple games into the state tournament. I'm just grateful that we just got back 2 evenings a week. We had games to attend for cheer from the end of August to mid-March. I'm ready for a sports break!!

We do a family bracket challenge (us, grandparents, uncle, etc.)... my bracket is busted after Michigan State lost in the first round. Still like to watch the games though.

We all have "Hoopsmania" cards. They are a fundraiser for the high school Clara will go to next year. I don't exactly get them, but you get a random set of 8 teams and your score is the total points they score throughout the entire tournament. I'm middle of the pack with that one, but I've lost four teams. We'll see how it goes.

I do not. DH does... He can watch basketball, and I'll scrap! :)

But soccer is much bigger in Europe than the US. Do they have any big tournaments?

I'm not paying any attention to basketball this year, but my hubby sure is and I've been hearing daily (sometimes multiple times) updates on who is winning and losing in the work pool they have going. My hubby and I work together so I know all the people in the bracket and I've had a little fun teasing a few of them.

This particular bracket/pool that they run... they don't pay any money to play and you don't really care who wins, but the person with the least amount of points has to buy drinks for everyone else for a night.... so you definitely don't want to lose. Lol.

Oh my gosh!!!! I'm a total March Madness lover!!!! College basketball is my absolute favourite sport to watch, especially during the Road to the Final Four!! Bracket is TOTALLY busted with all the upsets...the most ever this year!! But I love it. There have been some AMAZING games that have come down to the last couple seconds. Totally keeping me on the edge of my seat. This whole weekend we spent watching it...therefore, didn't get nearly enough accomplished around the house!
I think that I have actually converted my DH (who never watched basketball before me) into a lover of college ball!!! Mission accomplished!! :giggle

Danes are into soccer and handball, and they both have tournaments, but I don't watch them unless Denmark is doing really well and I get invited to some party or something.

My husband and I have been watching it. He and my son fill out brackets every year. I filled out one this year, too. Tracie, my son also picked Michigan State to win. I picked North Carolina to win.

N. Iowa and Texas A&M was an exciting game So was Wisconsin and Xavier.

We're definitely into college basketball, especially in March. We've been to watch the tournament in salt lake and Portland, and met the Georgetown Hoyas randomly on the streets of Portland last year (which made my life!). Hubby's cousin is Kyle Collinsworth (BYU) and though they didn't make it to the big dance, they're killing it in the NIT. Hubby always puts on sporting competitions between family and March madness is no different. We buy teams and play for money but we also fill out brackets and play to see who has the best bracket at the end of the tourney. Like @bcnatty said, there have been so many upsets, so my bracket is busted, but I DO have Kansas winning the whole thing, so we shall see! Yay basketball!!

My husband played college basketball, coached HS. basketball, and officiated basketball, so of course he watches a LOT of the tournament although he did not fill out a bracket this year. I watched the two Iowa games, (not the Iowa State or University of Northern Iowa games) but that was it. He is really good about watching as he records the games and then watches whenever he wants but he asks me if I want to watch anything else because he (unbelievably) gets tired of watching too. It all starts again this weekend, so..................

@Lindzee We only follow hockey. But I was at my parents house the other day and my dad was flipping between a few games which made me think of it. Especially when my brother started complaining about his busted bracket!

Go Zags! :) :) :) So we don't really follow much until March Madness- but our hometown (Spokane, WA) team is always in it! And for the announcers & people who don't know... it's GONE-ZAG(like zig zag)-AH from SPOH-CAN :agree

So now we have hockey & Gonzaga bulldog games on our tv at all times!
