2026 Oscar Nominations!

It's that time of year again. They have recently announced the 2026 Best Picture Oscar Nominations! I am quite the moviephile and every year I try to watch all the movies nominated for best picture. Sometimes I have heard of the movie, and sometimes I haven't, but with my many streaming services I can usually find them all. Here is this year's list:

Sinners
Bugonia
F1
Frankenstein
Hamnet
Marty Supreme
One Battle After Another
The Secret Agent
Sentimental Value
Train Dreams

I have seen two so far, Sinners and Frankenstein.

Have you seen any? Are any on your "to watch" list? Let me know!
 
Sinners is the only one I've seen and I loved it!!
I'd like to watch them all, but I may start with One Battle After Another.
 
I've seen the same 2 as you. Usually I try to watch all of them but I'm kind of uninspired this year so not sure it I'll make it.
 
I'm dying to see Hamnet! I heard good things about One Battle After Another and I noticed it is available on streaming, so I may check that one out too.
 
Haven't seen any of these movies. I wait for them -most of the time- to arrive on a streaming service. :whistle
 
I haven't seen a single one. :shrug My son watched Marty Supreme and loved it, so I'll probably try to watch that one. I've also heard good things about Hamnet. Some of the other ones I haven't even heard of. :giggle

We wound up watching Sinners again last night after watching a deep dive about all the symbolism in it. Michael B Jordan is so good in it.
 
I'm not a huge movie person, and the only one on the list I've even heard of is Marty Supreme. I do like the idea of watching them all though - very cool! Maybe I'll try! I don't know why I don't watch many movies - I always have the tv on while scrapping, it's just usually on Little House or some dumb reality show.
 
I'm not a movie person and the only one I've even heard of is Hamnet. I see it advertised on TV.

Any movies I watch are in the comfort of my own home.
 
F1...had to watch it because my oldest was obsessed with the Formula One racing as a kid, and we would get up in the middle of the night to watch European races. After I told him I watched the movie and remember those nights, he said, "I still get up to watch!"
 
I've only heard of one of these movies! Usually, the ones that win the Oscar are the ones I couldn't even finish watching because I just didn't like them. I guess my taste isn't the same as the people who pick the nominations!
 
I’ve read the book, Hamnet and it was excellent so I’m looking forward to seeing the movie once it gets to streaming.
I watched Formula One because the Grandkids are in to racing. It was ok, not really my thing.
 
I have seen Sinners, F1, and One Battle After Another ... but I do plan to work my way through the others :heartlub
 
I've only watched Frankenstein so far. Of the ones on the list I really wanna see Sinners, Sentimental Value (because I am a big fan of Stellan Skarsgård) and One Battle After Another.
Good thing is that most of them seems to be available for streaming!
