Welcome to the 2023 edition of Love Our Designers (LOD)
This event isn't a traditional challenge in that there aren't any real rules.
It’s a fun event to scrap with products from a fave designer or try a new (to you) designer. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the uniqueness of all of our Lilypad Designers!
Today I'm excited to share that our featured designer is Joyce Paul Designs! She is a powerhouse of a designer, having been designing for years and I can say with certainty that her designs just keep getting better and better. I am a long time fan and I knew when she came to TLP she would be a fantastic addition to the design teams here.
What I personally love about Joyce's style is her ability to combine both clean and grungy styles together. She is a genius at combining flat and dimensional products together to make every kit unique and interesting. Her paper designs are like works of art, each pattern and texture is amazing. Hi Everyone, I am Joyce a.k.a. Joyce Paul Designs, I am a single Mom of 3 and live in The Netherlands. I have been designing since 2006. I won a design contest and the rest is history. lol
I always try to design things that everyone can use, whether your are a clean and simple scrapper, you like grunge or realistic stuff. I always try to include a good mix. My biggest inspiration are my kids and pinterest. (lol)
My favorite product is "Cheer Up":
Because I just love the colours and I was feeling a little down and depressed when I created it, but it reminds me to always keep my head up. Life isn't always easy, but it will get better. Just keep on going and hold your head up high
I usually design in the evening when the kids are in bed and while designing I always listen to music in the background or I put the TV on. I just have to have some sounds in the background. My favorite music is R&B and HipHop from back in the Day (90s, early 2000s) when I was young. (loooong time ago *giggles*) I am also (still) a huge Backstreet Boys fan. Been a fan since 1993. Ooooh, such a guilty pleasure. hehe
Here's a layout I created using Joyce's fave kit. I'd say it's one of my faves but honestly, they are all my faves
