Welcome to "12 Days of Art Journaling". During this time of the year I get really stressed out and thought why not make some challenges to take my mind of my infinite "to do" list for at least an hour. I have tried to design all 12 days of simple and fun challenges. You can make these in any size Art Journal (AJ), maybe you want to try to make journaling cards with an AJ flair or maybe a 5x7 size to print and frame. Maybe these could be those last minute presents you are still trying to figure out. Whatever you decide on the size, make it work for you. If you change your mind and want to do different sizes, that works too! Here in the AJ area we are VERY flexible, remember NO RULES! (Well, almost no rules, you must follow the challenge in some way and you must follow the 50% TLP's product rule from the gallery).

NOTE: You can start the challenge at any moment before the end of the 2014 year!

DAY #3 Challenge: "French Hens" you ask your self, hmm. Well, for today you are to use any quotes, word arts (WA), or ephemera (elements) that are in a different language than your native one. :thumbsups You can make you own quotes or WAs.

Quote in German, thanks to help from a good friend

says I'm sending a dove to heaven---with a parcel on it's wings,.....Be careful when you open it....It's full of beatuiful things,...Inside are a million kisses...wrapped up in a millon hugs,....to say how much I miss you...and to send you all my love.

I hold you close within my heart...and there you will remain,...to walk with me throughout my life...until i see you again

Loving these challenges. I am trying to do a 12 days of faith challenge in these challenges. Here's mine:

My native language is English... which can make it a bit tricky to find words in another language already in a kit :crySo... hopefully this counts because even though we use these words too, they are actually Italian words :giggle

Steph,
Of course it counts. You can always make your own WA.

I speak English so I had to look up a french translation for my title "time waits for no man". Hopefully, it's accurate.

Remember ephemera counts!
There's a piece with Latin in here:

The newsprint in here is in French:

There's German newsprint in here:

French ephemera here:

I bet we all already have a lot more non-English stuff than we realize!

This on was easy for me because all word art in English is foreign language for me (my native language is Finnish) :)

Ah, Lorry, wish I would have seen your post before I made my page. Would have gone for that German newsprint!!
Not sure if this counts, I used a little children's song that my daughter sings. She is in a German immersion program at school.
