12/9 SPEED SCRAP - INSTRUCTIONS AND LAYOUTS

hi everyone!

i'll be posting speed scrap instructions here over the next hour (woohoo!) and then you'll have another hour to complete your page (i.e., until 4:30 PM Eastern time) :thumbsups

see the next post for the instructions - and meet me in the chat room from 10 - 11 eastern if you want to play along there :beat:beat
 
hi!! there are the SS instructions : )

a few "rules" and info:

1) you are allowed one cheat! just let me know which prompt you have altered when you post your page here to this topic.

2) i'm basing these instructions off a paper page i like .. i'll post it at the end of the time period.

ok - here are the prompts:

1) select ONE photo, crop it into a square shape, and place it towards the bottom right of your page. place it on top of a solid, neutral background.

2) grab some patterned and/or solid paper. using at least 4 different papers, layer some squares/rectanges under and around the picture.

3) i want you to have a BIG and bold title ... use at least two alpas/font and make it overlap your solid background paper and some of the patterned/solid papers near your picture.

4) add some elements! specifically:
a) some details at the top of the page - either washy tape, strips of paper, border trim, etc.
b) add some stitching around the border of the page and near/on the papers/picture
c) add some teeny elements to the edges of the page
d) and any and all other elements to the page - mainly around the papers/photo but also elsewhere as you like.

6) (i am skipping prompt 5 b/c 4 had so many steps LOL!) - add some journaling and take one last look at your page :) add any finishing touches and save! (and post it the gallery and post a link in this thread)

Tried to follow directions. Guess my cheat is step 2 on the bold part of the title. I so like it as part of the photo/paper grouping. Loving all the other layouts. Thanks again for the fun SS. Here's mine:
