100 ideas for summer

Anyone want to try to help make a list of 100 ideas for summer? It could make for some good photo opportunities which would make for good layouts too! :) I'll start & if people add on we can see how far we can go!

1. driveway chalk art with the whole family
2. camping in the backyard
3. trips to the library
4. make homemade popsicles
5. use colored bubbles then rinse off in the sprinkler
6. trips to the beach
7. find the big dipper in the sky
8. look for fireflies
9. go swimming
10. pick fresh fruit
11. ride bikes

Here are a few more:
12. Visit a local museum
13. Go to the park and have a picnic
14. Go on a nature hike
15. Jump rope
 
16. science experiment: make WHITE flowers turn BLUE (put stems of flowers in cup of water tinted w/ blue food coloring) we did this the other day! :D

Free-Form Rainbow Lollies:
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. corn syrup
2/3 c. water
1/2 t. orange extract (or flavor of choice)
food coloring

Spray cookie sheet with no stick spray. Place lollipop sticks in rows with 2 in. space in between.

Combine sugar, syrup and water in saucepan. Bring to boil over high heat. Without stirring cook until temp. reaches 305 degrees. Set up ice bath in sink. Dip bottom of saucepan in ice for 10 seconds. Stir in extract. Divide mix between 3 or 4 bowl with food coloring. Spoon over lollipop sticks. Let harden and enjoy.

Oh I just thought of another one for older kids, a friend did this recently. This is based on a reality home cooking show we have here called My Kitchen Rules. Each child comes up with their restaurant name and researches a 3 course menu, they help shop for, prepare and cook the menu for the family and everyone gives it a score out of 10.
