My youngest daughter just graduated, and I'm journaling as therapy for my grief in her leaving the nest.

Jaden,
I've learned that two opposing things can be true at the same time. I am exceptionally excited for you to GO into the world and reflect the light of Jesus. I am deeply melancholy at the reality of you living eleven hours from home for the next four years. God will strengthen both of us. I love you dearly.

Thank you. I will be scrapping many senior photos of my girl since we did a half dozen shoots. This is my therapy as I prepare for an empty nest.
